Beautiful property with high ceiling. located at the center of old Quebec. Great restaurant inside the hotel to go for dinner. Overall wonderful time, great vacation, Would definitely come back.

The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, museums and stores. The room was large and we slept like babies, great mattress and pillows. My favorite was the shower. There was plenty of storage in the room and bathroom. The hotel was very clean throughtout. Our room had a great view of the river and Levi island. The best thing was the Staff. Everyone was cheerful, helpful and that made for a wonderful stay. We truly had a great time and the hotel and staff was a big part of us feeling comfortable. Nice hotel. Rooms very spacious and quiet. One elevator was under repair so made getting to rooms slow. The espresso machine in main lobby was not working during our stay which was disappointing.

Our time at Hotel 71 was incredible! From the amazing staff, to the quiet and beautifully decorated/spacious room, our two nights there is now going to be a yearly tradition. The staff were friendly and helpful from everything we could think of, dining was wonderful; and the location is prime for Quebec City walking adventures and shopping! 10/10 recommend!

Spot on! The reception area and the rooms are great. The staff is SUPER nice. They had 24 hrs tea and coffee service. There is an awesome italian restaurant onsite. The breakfast in only cold which i would say is the only downer but that forces us to try places in town. The area around the hotel is OH so beautiful and a 15 min walk to the Fairmont and that main street. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We had a great stay at hotel 71. The staff was excellent. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fabulous. It was easily walking to all the things we wanted to do while in Quebec.

Fantastic stay from arrival to departure. Our room was huge and well stocked. Great soaking tub in bathroom. Easy walk to Old Quebec sites. Do not overlook the restaurant, Il Matto, as I enjoyed twice in a 3 night stay.

Great location, clean room, nice restaurant onsite. Showers were great...with great water pressure. Bed comfortable. There is a terrific restaurant onsite and many restaurants with 2 blocks. One of the best museums in Canada is across the street from the hotel. Parking was offsite and costs about $20/day. My only complaint is that they can use an extra person in the lobby to help with check-in and luggage.

Fantastic place and time to go!
My wife and I have been to Quebec several times, but this was the first time we stayed right the old city. We loved the hotel, our room, we had a loft, was spacious with a view of the Hotel Frontenac right outside our window. The location was perfect, we parked our car where able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go. The staff was great. There a is restaurant attached to the hotel that is excellent. It was our first time in winter, it was cold but the lack of crowds made it very enjoyable walking around. We are encouraging our son and his wife to go and stay there.

Only reason it’s not a 5 star is housekeeping. We were there 5 days, gone from 9:00 am to 4:00 most everyday and our room was cleaned once. Although they clean rooms daily they never made it before 5. We would just get new towels and coffee refills. Our bed was not remade, room cleaned etc. but one time. The hotel is a lovely location with wonderful restaurant. I just wish they had better housekeeping services.

This hotel is exceeded my expectations! rooms are spotless, we didn’t have to request for a clean, we came back after a whole day of activities, the bed was made, new towels provided. the staff are exceptional, polite, warm and friendly, my kids was treated very nicely! breakfast was good, cold cuts cheese croissants and some fruits. overall amazing stay! I would def book at hotel 71 again on our next visit!

It was a 3 star experience, don’t know how this property made it to “preferred” status. Construction everywhere through out the property didn’t help. Front desk can be more friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
