“Great Small Hotel in Old Quebec!”

A nice small hotel in the old city of quebec. Wonderful guided walking tour complementary to hotel guests. There is a very good bistro attached to the hotel and a basket of breakfast treats arrives at your door each morning with fruit, yogurt and pasteries. This hotel is a great value for your money and the hotel staff is very helpful and friendly.

“Very nice experience”

The best part was the friendiness of the front desk people. They were always willing to help out with recommendations. There is a 1.5 hour free walking tour every day offerred by the hotel and that was welcome. We also were treated by a pianist in the lounge for two hours one evening. Free popcorn and movies made our stay very relaxing. The room was comfortable except the bathroom is tiny (only room for one at a time). Very clean throughout. Cute breakfast basket but after 4 days we wanted a new type of muffin. Don't depend on the room fridge to cool anything as it is really just a cooler. Luckily we had a small cooler and kept ice in it to keep fruit and milk cold for the week. The parking was $14 per day which is cheap and almost right across the street which was great. All in all a very nice hotel.

“Great People and Location”

I really liked our stay in this hotel. The front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The room was nice and clean overall but had a faint odor i think from the carpet.

“Everything you would need in a Quebec City Hotel”

Great location in the old town, comfortable room, big screen tv, nice bathroom, comfy bed, quaint on site restaurant, free movies to rent, friendly and helpful hotel staff. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to your room via picnic basket handing outside your door. The picnic bag contained croissants, other pastry, yogurt, fruit, jams, butter, maple cream and juice. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. If I could add anything, it would be a small microwave oven. The croissants were were not delivered warm and a few seconds in the microwave would have made them perfect! Not to mention being able to heat leftovers.

Area recommendations

Old town is great. This hotel is in the Upper town. Make sure to visit the lower part of the old town. You can ride a funicular for the steep part. It is on the water and has a lot of lovely restaurants and shops and the prices appear to be cheaper than the upper part of old quebec.

“Great Service Great Location”

This is probably the best hotel we've ever stayed at. The service was extremely friendly.As an example we went to get a movie from the lounge library which you check out at the desk and the lady offered to make us fresh popcorn for the movie (which incidentally was delicious) . when we were checking out the Desk man made doubly sure we had good directions so we didn't get lost. Every day you get breakfast in a little picinic basket on your door, with delicious crossant's and jams inside. The location could not be better it is litterally in the middle of everything you want to do. The parking was convenient almost accross the street and the room was clean and modern. My one complaint is that the bed was a bit stiff and the fridge was less than cool. Other than that this was a fantastic hotel.

Area recommendations

We took day trips to the waterfalls in the morning and then perused the shops in the afternoon. Do not miss the old old section which is a bit hidden it's down below the promenade in front of the Chateaux Frontenac

“Highly Recommend This Hotel in Quebec”

Hotel DuVieux Quebec- This exceeded our expectations. Centrally located in Old Quebec . Within walking distance of almost everything. Very charming, clean, quiet. If we ever come back to Quebec I would stay here again

“Great experience”

The hotel y located in the center of Old Quebec and we were able to walk around to see the city with no problem. It has a nice restaurant and the box breakfast is very good.

“In the Heart of Old Quebec”

Not a luxurious hotel but very comfortable, fabulous croissants+ for breakfast, and extremely well-located. The service was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the shower/bath wonderful - both pressure and hot water. Located several blocks from the funicular in the Haute ville but easy access to the basse-ville. Good bistro attached to hotel and others nearby. Great value for the price

Old Quebec - upper and lower parts - Very Old French-European feel. Once you get outside the walls of Old Quebec, it feels much more like a modern city.
