“My amazing time in the Hotel Louisbourg”
An old hotel lying in the heart of the Old City is updated, while still retaining its old world qualities. The rooms were clean and private, and I was treated like visiting royalty. I enjoyed three days of contentment, Thank you. And the price was good.
“Good value, ideal location”
We stayed in Quebec City for 6 days and were very pleased with this hotel. It is in the old part of the city, just a few blocks from the Hotel Frontenac and within easy walking distance of most of the historic sites. I was very pleased with the hotel staff, who were friendly and helpful. We requested a quiet room, and despite being there during a major sporting event (Red Bull Crashed Ice, which attracted 100,000 spectators), we enjoyed peaceful nights. I liked the fact that the hotel has a roof-top spa and offers coupons for local attractions and activities. I also particularly liked the fact that breakfast is served at the Feu Sacré restaurant next door. The staff there is very warm and friendly, and we took advantage of their buffet breakfast, included in the price of our room, every morning. I would point out that the Hotel Acadie has a bit more charm, but in general, I have no complaints!
“Quebec's best 'little' hotel”
Beautiful city, lovely side streets, perfect timing. Off-season and relatively quiet, Quebec in October is just right for a couple of days' worth of wandering around the old city and enjoying some wonderful restaurants. The hotel was perfect, right in the tourist district, the service professional and courteous, the price was just right. I'd recommend this weekday adventure to anyone who can slip away for a couple of days and drive to the city.
“Home base in Quebec City”
The Hotel Louisbourg is in the upper portion of the Old City in Quebec and is a great home base for exploration. My room was spacious, the bathroom was modern and the adjacent restaurant (Feu Sacre) was quite good. It's not fancy, but I wasn't seeking fancy. The core building dates to 1814. Enough said.
“Wonderful boutique hotel”
My husband and I enjoy walking and found the location of this hotel perfect for short walks to the metro, shopping, dining, museums, McGill, whatever you want - without being in the middle of a busy environment. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly; breakfast was a plus. The only thing lacking in our room as a desk (for our laptop)!
“Nice hotel, convenient location”
Beautiful room, helpful hotel staff, Julio in particular. Hotel is very conveniently located to everything in Old Quebec City, and only 10 minutes to buses throughout the area. Cleaning staff did not empty garbage cans every day. Rooms were VERY quiet.
“Great Value- Great Location- Great Staff”
Overall, I was very pleased with the Hotel Louisbourg. It was very centrally located within the Old Town but in a quiet neighborhood. All of the front office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and clearly want to please you. Also included in the rate was a very ample buffet breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, etc) which kept me going until dinnertime. The room was somewhat small, which I didn't mind, although there was a lack of good lighting for reading. But the bed was extremely comfortable and I slept really well all three nights. I would certainly stay there again.
“Nice hotel, great location for good price”
It is a good deal, the location cannot be better and the hotel is nice and clean. A little inconvenient to have to check in at a different hotel athough it is right arround the corner. Free access to the rooftop hot tub of the Acadia hotel.
“we were pleased”
I would recomend the motel to someone else but I would warn them of the hidden expenses that we were not aware of.
“Very happy with the hotel”
A nicely located small hotel in Old Quebec. Rooms very clean and adequate sized. Redone nicely. No elevator for those who can't walk too many flights though. Limited amenities, but being right in the middle of the Old City made everything perfect Check in at the hotel around the corner not really a problem.
