Perfect location for exploring Old Quebec

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Only drawback was lack of elevator, but staff were very quick to help with our baggage.
Location: Was just the right distance for a good walk to the old part of the city for a day's exploration. Check out Phil Smoked Meat shop just down the street
Stayed for two nights and loved every minute of it. Breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced. Loved the Van Gough-inspired theme throughout, as well as the exposed brick. Old world charm, but modern comforts - the best of both worlds!

Cozy, urban gem

Is it possible to fall in love with a hotel?! We fell in love with Auberge Le Vincent. The staff are wonderful and go far above and beyond to take care of your needs and make sure you feel like you're the only people in the hotel. The rooms are delightful (and yes they have the best showers), location is close to old Quebec, but it's really the feeling of warmth and care (and amazing breakfasts in house) that will bring us back again. Truly a stellar experience - and we were just looking for a place to lay our heads whilst being tourists.

Wonderful B&B, great breakfast, long walk Old Town

Posted Oct 29, 2013
Wonderful romantic hotel with individually made breakfasts, comfortable rooms, free DVDs, quiet location. Just a long walk to old town. We generally took cabs - $10 cost and we are fit. On the last day we discovered if we had walked the north route to old town we wouldn't have to go over the giant hill, may have cut down on cab fares and done more walking if we have discovered this earlier. Lots of great place to eat by hotel. Just ask helpful staff.

Little gem

Posted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: Well appointed rooms; comfortable beds; very pleasant and helpful staff; good food; proximity to Old Quebec; good restaurants within walking distance
Cons: Tea making facilities in rooms
Le Vincent is a small hotel within easy walking distance of Old Quebec. The reception is not staffed between 10 pm and 7 am, but we had no problem coming in through the back door using the number pad. Well appointed bedrooms, cleverly designed to accommodate large showers and an iPod docking system as well as a TV/DVD player with a plentiful supply of DVDS in reception. Our rooms overlooked the quiet back street, and were triple glazed and we were not disturbed at all. There is no lift. There is a flight of stairs into reception from the front of the hotel. The rooms to the right have a short further flight of stairs, but those on the other side have a longer flight. If you bring in cases through the back door, it would avoid the initial flight up to reception. Staff were very helpful when we left carrying cases downstairs for us, as was the receptionist when we first arrived, but she was a slight young woman and we would have felt bad letting her lift heavy cases. There is a ground floor room ( No 1), a double queen, which we had initially booked. When we arrived we were offered an upgrade to a King bed upstairs, which we were glad we had accepted. The ground floor room is at street level and is locked off from the main part of the hotel at night and access is then through a door in the room which opens onto the street, which we would not have liked. Breakfast was excellent and there was a good coffee machine in the room.

a hidden gem in Quebec

Posted Jul 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
This inn on the outskirts of the Old City met our needs and exceeded our expectations! From the reliable advice of the proprietor Antonio to the delicious breakfasts each morning, we were very satisfied with our hotel choice for our 4 day getaway. Anyone planning a trip to Quebec City should be prepared to walk- there are a lot of steep inclines as you tour the charming neighborhoods. Also, don't miss the free Cirque de Soleil show (it's the last of 5 annual performances by the world-reknowned troupe) in the Vieux Port nightly @ 9:15. For great smoked meat, check out Phil's Smoked Meat just a block from Le Vincent. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall, a great summer trip to Quebec... can't wait to return next year!
