Very nice hotel, just steps to Old Quebec City.Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was very comfortable and a nice size, the hotel has an elevator.
Location: We were less than a minute from the old walled city with all of its history and charm. It was less than ten minutes by taxi to from our cruise ship.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this very nice Hotel in such a great location. We arrived with quite a bit of luggage because we were joining a cruise two days later and were pleased to find that this Hotel had an elevator so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage up the stairs. Our room was spacious and had pleasing European ambiance.

Good hotel, centrally located in Old QuebecPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Signage from the street. As its nestled between a theater and restaurant complex, its a bit difficult to discern the entrance.
Location: Located at the top of a hill in old Quebec, its walkable to all the attractions, shops and restaurants.
Quiet hotel in the heart of Old Quebec. Close to restaurants, attractions and historical sites. Nice views of the harbour and the city walls and gates.

great location, room was as expected but best of all the staff was terrific. Told me places to see and restaurants to try all and all would highly recommend this hotel

Great!Posted Sep 4, 2013
Beautiful, great location, good restaurant! Only negative point was that while I don't really mind a small room, I had some work to do and there wasn't a decent desk/table to work.

Great room, great location and a fair price.Posted Aug 26, 2013
My wife and I loved this hotel, location is perfect to explore the old city or to head the other direction to see the more modern parts of Quebec. We found our suite room to be clean and very comfortable. Exposed brick in the tub area as well as the bathroom with modern intersting plumbing fixtures. my first thought when I saw the shower was centerd over the whirlpool was that it would be messy to use, water all over the place, not so, we both found it to be a great shower. big windows and lots of accent lighting made this room nice during the day and at night. We were on a lower floor and had a view of the old stone wall surrounding the city, tells you how close it is but I would ask for a room on an upper floor next time. The desk staff and bartenders we talked with were all very nice and lucky for me spoke English as well as French. We ate one meal in the outdoor table area located at the front of the Hotel, food was expensive but very good and a great place to sit and people watch. We wanted to watch a show in the theatre but it did not work out because the weather was to nice and we wanted to enjoy a night walking around the city.

Really awesome little place. Staff is nice and helpful. Always ready to help. The room has a really different look that made it interesting. (bathtub at the foot of the bed) The only issue we both found, the bed felt like a futon. Really uncomfortable mattress.

Would stay againPosted Aug 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had an excellent experience with L'Hotel du Capitole. The staff were very friendly. The beds were comfy. Other reviews said the rooms were small and ours was small but did not feel cramped. We had more than enough room for our luggage (two small pieces of luggage) and ourselves. The shower frosted glass wall was an added perk to our getaway but would not want to have that feature is staying with a friend. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would go back there again.
