Four days in Quebec CityPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Small intimate hotel with friendly staff willing to help and suggest things to do and places to go, great breakfast
Cons: Two floor walk up to our room however a carpeted stairway. Elevator not an option for this building
Location: Walking is the key from this hotel. Lots to see on foot, shops, buildings, restaurants, art galleries; boat harbour.
Hotel was close to the train station; close to the boat hartbour; walking distance to the old lower town; uphill to the upper town; close to several good restaurants. Caleche ride is a must do.

Pros: joking with the inn keeper!! the room was nice with old fashioned charm.
Cons: old buildings have steep stairs...
Location: within walking distance to everything
Great location for a walking vacation, easy walk to the old city, the marketplace, restaurants, ferry, museums, etc.

Endroit tranquille près du VieuxPosted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Proximité avec le Vieux -Québec. Tranquillité. Tarifs abordables.

Simple, clean room in a fabulous location.Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: I liked that I could find a simple, affordable, clean room where I felt safe (I was traveling alone) in the day and evening. Pleasant owner/staff.
Cons: I would have loved a kettle in the room to make myself some tea in the evenings.
Location: Excellent location. Lots of restaurants, a bike rental shop, tonnes of shopping in the low and high Old Quebec, and several historic sites as well.
I arrived in Quebec via train and was so thankful I didn't need to drag my suitcase up the hill into high Old Quebec. L'Intendant is at the base of the hill and is very close to everything, especially the Old Port and the low Old Quebec. Once free of luggage, the short (a few blocks) trek up the hill to high Old Quebec is much more pleasant. My first day, I walked all through the high Old Quebec, visited the Citadel, Parliament, and the Plains of Abraham. All walking. All after a beautiful breakfast of a crepe, croissant, strawberry preserves, raspberry jam, maple syrup, fruit salad, plus fruit juice and coffee/tea -- which is included in the B&B room charge. The second day was spent poking through the shops in low Old Quebec, which is just a block or two away from the B&B. The room was simple but pleasant. The bed was squeaky but comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would happily stay here again. The owner and his staff speak English and are patient if you want to chat (or try chatting) in French.

Roadtrip HighlightPosted Apr 7, 2015 on Hotels
My girlfriend and I decided to take a road trip this long weekend. Montreal > Quebec City > Ottawa. We stayed one night in each city. Quebec was by far the best city in our trip and this was by far the best hotel we stayed at. We can't wait for our next vacation where I think we will spend most of it in Quebec city.

Nice place. Value for money.Posted Feb 6, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel was good enough for the six of us. All in one room. Nice, clean and near to attraction places. Though the hotel staff recommend us just to walk around rather than take the car, it was cold then.. so we drove around and park nearby at all the places visited. Will stay here again if have a chance.

Cute B&BPosted Jan 17, 2015 on Hotels
Good food, comfy bed, nice big jetted tub! The hotelier was charming and the breakfast was good (although it would have been nice to have a bit more variety as both of our breakfasts were the same thing both mornings). Convenient location to the Gare Palais and not to far to walk to the old city (although you will have to walk up a hill to get there).
