Awesome!

Pros: It was a small apartment, allowed us all to have our own privacy. Comfortable sand clean.
Location: Walking distance to all shows, restaurants and all tourist attractions.
Right in the middle of everything. Never used our car, walked everywhere. Awesome.

Great location

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: LOCATION! We parked the car and didn't move it. We could walk to every place we wanted to in Quebec City.
Cons: Have an agreement with the bar downstairs to end loud music at a decent time.
Location: Great Farmer's Market within walking distance for fresh smoked fish, cheese and drinks. Great selection of restaurants across the street. Old city!!!!
Beautiful boutique hotel located at the entrance to old town. The room space was fantastic with the luxury of a small kitchen to cook breakfast or make snacks in the evening. High ceilings and wood floors gave character to the space. Bed was comfortable, the pull out sofa was not. The only struggle we had was that the room was above a bar that had loud music in the evening. One night the music was louder than usual and went on late into the night. When talking with the receptionist the next day, she tried to help resolve the problem and asked if we had asked for a quiet room. I didn't realize that should be a request but an expectation of every person staying at a hotel. The next night there was no music, so perhaps my question helped resolve the matter. Other than this, the stay was relaxing and the location was fantastic.

A beautiful hotel

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Great location for walking around the lower part of the city. The walk to the higher part is not bad. Our room was a studio apartment with a small fridge in the kitchen. I loved the stone wall in our room. The only small criticism is the lack of hooks (there was only one) and towel bars in the bathroom (just one under the sink)

Convenient and roomy

The room was very nice...a nice combination of old and new. We had our daughter with us and the pull out couch was great...and not too crowded in the room. The location is ideal for walking around the city.

Right in the middle of Old Quebec

Posted Jul 13, 2014
We found the hotel very beautiful with old and new features in architect and design. The meals were excellent and the location was just where we wanted to be, in the middle of old Quebec city with easy walking to all parts. We felt safe and welcomed!

Nice hotel, great location!

Pros: Our room was a nice surprise, very roomy and had a kitchenette. Nice decor, with exposed brick wall. Hotel is in a great location!
Cons: Can't think of anything, keep up the good work!
Location: As stated earlier, the hotel is ideally located for getting around Old Quebec. So much to see and do all within walking distance. I'd stay here again.
Check in was smooth and all staff were helpful and pleasant. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the meal was excellent, one of the best meals we had on our three day mini-vacation. The hotel is so ideally located that we parked our car on arrival and didn't need to use it for the next three days. It's within walking distance to many cafe`s, restaurants, museums, boat tours dock, the funicular, Chateau Frontenac and so on. We had a great time in Quebec City, it is a city steeped in history and there is lots to see and do. One of the highlights was a horse-drawn carriage ride around Old Quebec, I would put that high on the list of things to do. The driver we had was born in Quebec and has been doing the tours since 1968. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We took a boat tour that went to Montmorency Falls and back, took about 1 1/2 hours, it was very nice and included a guide dressed in period clothing that pointed out points of interest and shared stories of the area. He was also very knowledgeable and presented the information in a light, humorous way. We also partook in a walking tour, it was just the right amount of time. The guide was also dressed in period clothing and portrayed a local figure that had lived in Quebec during the 18th century. Very interesting and insightful. Overall, it was a great trip, combining fun, good dining and interesting facts. We could have easily spent another day or two here. Will likely be back again some day.

Pros: Clean and modern with just enough old world charm.
Location: Location was great. Away from the "touristy" part of town but not too far away. Lots of locals, bistro's, art galleries, museums, shopping, etc.
Great stay in Quebec City. Le Port Royal staff and facilities lived up to our expectations. Everyone was very nice and accomodating. Very comfortable room and bed. Plenty of room for two travelers for several days stay.
