“Location and charm!”
The location is perfect and the staff is friendly and helpful. Our decision to stay in this beautiful boutique hotel was definitely the right one! We would stay here again if we return to Quebec.
“Wonderful Weekend Stay”
Great weekend with friends at this little hotel. The rooms were fresh and clean with great air conditioning. (needed after hikes to the promenade and citadel!). Desk service was great and they helped make recommendations and reservations throughout!
“Loved the hotel and Quebec”
After reading the reviews we decided on the Auberge Saint Pierre. We loved our room on the fourth floor. The bathroom was large and we enjoyed the small table and two chairs in our room. We had a king sized bed so space was a little tight between the bed and dresser/closet, but this did not matter to us. The location was excellent, staff were fabulous and we really enjoyed taking our time with the wonderful breakfast. The only problem was that the elevator broke down for two days. So people that have trouble with stairs might have had a problem. We also stayed 8 nights and could have stayed another two. We also enjoyed the farmer's market which we could walk to...a very walkable city. Loved the hotel and will definitely return. Our compliments to the staff.
“The Best Little Hotel In Quebec City”
It all comes down to people and at the St Pierre the people were wonderful, competent, courteous and caring--what more can I say.? My partner and I felt totally appreciated as lodgers and made to feel that our enjoyment was their primary concern-They were GREAT!
“Great location in Lower Town & quiet street”
When our Quebecois taxi driver commented what a great area we were in, I knew we had a great choice of hotel. The Auberge St. Pierre is only two blocks from the St. Lawrence River, yet is only steps away from the Lower Town shopping/restaurants & the funiculaire. My husband and I were close to the Place Royale, Cafe du Monde, the Levis ferry, the Louis Joliet excursion boats, the Image Mill, & the Old Port Market. Our king bed was extremely comfy, and the room was very clean. It also had great air cond. as we learned since Quebec City was experiencing some very humid July heat. I only wish there were trays for our luggage...we ended up spreading out our luggage on the floor...not a big problem, as the room was rather large. The reception desk was helpful & friendly. A hot, made-to-order breakfast is included in the price of the room. If you are looking for a hotel that is close to everything, yet in a quiet, uncongested neighboorhood in Basse-Ville (Lower Town) , then this is the place for you. We would return and we would recommend it to our friends.
“We loved the hotel and the city. Were sad to go home!”
The staff were very friendly and accomodating, especially since our French was pittiful. The hotel is attached to a neighboring one, Hotel 71, so we were able to have ammenities of both. The complemntary breakfast was great, fresh and many healthy choices. The location was great, quiet and off the beaten path, but so close to everything. We would definately stay there again.
“great small hotel”
Great place to stay and the location was the best.
“Great time in Quebec”
We were a bit concerned when the taxi pulled up and the edifice was under construction. Our concern turned to positive surprise. The hotel was clean, reasonably up to date, very clean and very comfortable. We found the staff (concierge, desk staff, breakfast meal staff) to be friendly, attentive and responsive. The location is very convenient - close to numerous shops and restaurants in the Lower City and a short walk to the funicular. The Museum of Civilization is across the street. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would stay at the St. Pierre again.
“Perfect hotel--perfect location”
Auberge St. Pierre has been recently renovated, so the rooms were quite lovely--very clean and full of light. We especially liked the hardwood floors instead of old, dirty carpets. The bed was comfortable and was covered with beautiful white linens. We ordered a warm breakfast each day. This was much nicer than having to stand in a buffet line. The concierge was very helpful.
“Love staying here”
We went to Quebec for winter carnival. The location of the Auberge St. Pierre is great. It is in a location where there are all kinds of shops and the streets are nice and quaint. The river is one street away. This hotel is an old insurance building. Lots of brick and high ceilings. Breakfast is included and is very nice. This is the second time We have stayed here and would stay here again.
