Beautiful Country Getaway

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Location: Checked out the Quechee Gorge and mini-golf, Shepard's Pie & Relish the Dog, everything was great in this quaint Vermont village!
My wife and I stayed here with our 20-month old toddler and her parents and sister and had a great stay. The lobby is very warm and inviting and looks like a great place to sit by a fire and relax in colder months. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We only stayed since we were headed east to Maine for the rest of our road trip but are definitely looking forward to visiting again during the Fall as the grounds were beautiful and will probably be even more so while the leaves are changing! Rooms were 2 downstairs rooms right off the dining area, were very large with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms.

Adorable bed and breakfast

Posted Jul 7, 2014
My boyfriend and I were eager for a romantic and low key get away, and The Quechee Inn was perfect. Our room was upgraded upon arrival and it was clean, comfy and cozy! The location is also ideal, as it's near all of the adorable galleries, restaurants and markets in Quechee, and is also very close to the lakes and river. The location was also ideal for visiting Woodstock, which is another charming and beautiful area.

Charming historical inn

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Lovely grounds
Cons: It would have been nice to have been asked how we enjoyed our stay at checkout. Also, lounge bartender was distracted and clearly frazzled.
Location: Near a very good restaurant in Quechee, Simon Pearce, right on the river.
Our room was large and attractive, and the location was fine. Food was just okay. Lots of recreational opportunities, though we were just spending the night. Flood light out front shone directly on our translucent blinds, making us wish for room-darkening shades. Ironic for a country inn.

Beware the no refund/ no change policy

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Rude, nasty, and belligerent customer service
Cons: The hotel is quaint enough with an attractive location but the customer service will drive people away.
I like to support the local mom and pop inns rather than local chains. The mom and pop inns tend to have a genuine warmth that adds to the hotel experience. The Quechee is not one of those places. The no refund/ no change policy should have been a red flag. I booked a one night stay for the the wrong day and tried to change it with the Quechee through Expedia. The Quechee said no and were rude and belligerent to Expedia, me, and especially my young daughter. The day time desk person and general manager repeatedly said they are in the business to make money not service customer mistakes. In fact, on top of a 1 day fee, the options they provided were 1-Don't show up and lose 1 day (already paid) or 2- Book the correct time but with a 3 night minimum. So my options were lose a little bit of money or lose alot of money. Hmmm... hard choice. There are many other options for local inns and chain hotels that can provide a much better customer relations experience.

No air conditioning

Posted May 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
As described on the Hotels.com page this was a hotel with 25 air conditioned hotel rooms. When we arrived we found that our room did not actually have air conditioning. When we went back to the front desk we were told with irritation to open a window. I have called hotels.com and they were wonderful and are going high up in their corporation to address the issue of the description of the rooms not being accurate. We will not be staying at this inn again in the future.

Location: Quechee & Simon Pierce .... Woodstock is near by ... this area of Vermont is exceptionally beautiful
My wife and I have stayed at The Quechee Inn on several occasions. Every visit has been wonderful. This Mother's Day we stayed for 3 nights. We had a wonderful time. The staff is great and the breakfast buffet is always well done. Dinners are superb. Mother's Day dinner was exceptional.

INN CLOSE TO TWO BEAUTIFUL TOWNS

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: THE SETTING THE STAFF AND YOU GOT THE FULL FEELING OF BEING IN THE MOUNTAINS IN BEAUTIFUL VERMONT. IT IS A FOUR SEASON AREA AND PERFECT LOCATION.
Cons: WE LOVED IT THE WAS IT IS.
WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE INN AND THE STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL, THE ROOM WAS COZY, CLEAN WITH VIEWS OF THE FARM AND SURROUNDING HILLS AND STREAM. WE ATE IN THEIR RESTAURANT WHICH WAS CHARMING, GREAT SERVICE AND THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING. WE WERE ONLY THERE OVERNIGHT BUT WE HOPE TO RETURN TO THE QUECHEE INN AGAIN WHEN WE CAN HAVE A LONGER STAY.

Pros: Location and grounds were great ! The walk along the gorge. Although it was mud season I look forward to coming back for other adventures.
The experience was great over all. Rick SUPERB! Room clean and fresh. Restaurant was excellent! The walk ways were a bit tired and could have use a vacuum. The receptionists could have been a bit more attentive. When asking questions they seemed more preoccupied and it seemed an inconvenience to ask more than one question .During slow season this surprised me. Again my experience overall was excellent and I will return and have already recommended the Inn.

Elegant lodging in lovely, guiet, convenient locat

Posted May 4, 2014
Pros: Excellent accommodations at a reasonable price.
Location: Many natural attractions to explore and shopping. Nice resturants.
We enjoyed our one night stay immensely. The room was comfortable and the entire inn was beautiful. We took a walk around the ground in the morning before the complimentary breakfast. It was quite pleasant to peruse the fields, river, and pond. Breakfast was excellent and the atmosphere was pretty and relaxing.
