Excellent apartment hotel on a great locationPosted Jun 22, 2014
We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment at Breakfree the Waterfront. The best apartment hotel I have stayed so far. Everything was brand spanking new and done very tastefully right in front of the Wakatipu lake. Spacious, modern, practical and user friendly. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Couldnt ask for more. would definitely visit again.Keep it up.

Nice big apartment. Close to townPosted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Nice and big. Close to Queenstown centre
Cons: Rooms were looking a bit tired. Needed new carpet and painting
Great apartments, nice and big. Plenty of room for the 4 of us that were staying there.

Great location. Fantastic waterfront views.Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: Free, unlimited wi-fi. It was very secure. Clean, warm and comfortable.
Cons: Furnishings, cooking utensils, pots and pans and decor need upgrading, especially the couches, which had no seated support whatsoever.
Location: Fantastic location. Walk everywhere. Amazing waterfront views. Skyline gondola and luge and kiwi centre within walking distance, amongst other things.
We stayed here with our two boys for five nights and was comfortable for that amount of time.

Fantastic location but apartment showing it's age.Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: What a great location. At the bottom of town and with lake views. Parking onsite.
Cons: Terrible, terrible slow and unreliable wifi. Needs a spruce up... new carpet, dining chairs, fridge/freezer, artwork.
Location: Close to all restaurants, shops, casinos and the Ernslaw Steamer. 10min walk to the Skyline Gondola and Luge.
In room 14, decor is looking a little dated. Carpet is stretched and bunching in places. Artwork on walls are faded by UV light. Upholstery on dining chairs had holes. Freezer compartment on fridge not working... helpful staff took our "freezeables" off-site to accommodate. We had issues with unreliable wifi also. This all said, we would stay here again. The bedrooms are a good size (however no external windows) and the kitchen, lounge and dining areas are open-plan and look out to the beautiful lake. We had a 1st level apartment (although it was floor 2 in the lift). This is half a storey off street level. While this is handy for handing groceries over the balcony, it did mean that floor level was at head-height of passing pedestrians. An apartment on a higher level would have been nice but if we were to stay again and get an apartment on this level, we'd still be happy.

Breathtaking viewsPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: Everything !!
Cons: A little tight parking during the weekend in garage but street side parking available.
Location: Best meal at Fish Bone restaurant. Walking distance. Nice wine tasting in town at Wine Taste. If you have a car, be sure to visit Brennan Winery
If you are looking for fully equipped apartments, centrally located, this is your place. We had a two bedroom/two bath unit with full kitchen, living room. It was an easy access to town. Indoor parking and free wifi. Units serviced every four days but we didn't mind making our own bed. Laundry facilities on site. Highly recommend for anyone who wants more privacy than hotels offer.
