“Great location!”

Loved the Novotel QT - it was convenient, clean, compact and provided all the amenities we needed for a 3 night stay. The extra blankets provided were quite tattered and should be replaced. Also, the travel desk was not too informed on tours available and ended up sending me to the tour 45 minutes early at 6:45 a.m. instead of 7:30 a.m! Could have used the extra sleep. Other than that all the staff was great, very helpful and accommodating. Signed up for an A Club Card because of them.

“Good”

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were professional. The only down sides were that the parking was expensive and that our shower curtain didn't stop water from going onto the floor. It had a superb location, it's near everything.

“Pleased”

Location is excellent. Staff is professional. Event concierge was very helpful. Rooms are adequate. Bit noisy due to the room we were given. Free street parking between 6p-8a. Free wifi has a relatively short daily limit. Pricing of LAN connection in room is cheaper than wifi.

Area recommendations

Sights: gondola, Glenorchy, Arrowtown, Kawarau Bridge. Eats: Joe's Garage (breakfast), Fishbone (dinner), Patagonia Chocolates.

“Best location in Queenstown, Great staff”

Very nice hotel good staff, but there was some confision as to the fact that when I booked it stated breakfast was included and when I arrived I was told that there would be no breakfast. But was offered breakfast for $21 each. Not a good comprimise. However the staff was great, Best location in Queenstown, clean rooms very nice and comfortable.

Area recommendations

Downtown is the best place and this is the only hotel downtown.

When to go

Any time of the year would be great it is very beautiful.

“Nice hotel despite the terrible weather”

This is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Only it was raining non stop and the lake water was rising forcing parts of the hotel to be evacuated, we decided to leave a day early and then come back to the hotel a week later at the end of our trip. Unfortunately they would not offer us a credit for the night we left early to use when we came back-even though they were evacuating other guests to other hotels! . Otherwise we had a lovely time and the location was perfect, within walking distance of everything in Queenstown.

“Great location! Great price!”

The Novotel was great! The location combined with the price was unbeatable! The city center has so many dining and shopping options and we were able to walk to all of them! The rooms were clean and modern. I had to call down to the front desk to find out how to turn on the lights (so I guess it would have been nice if they had mentioned it when you checked in), but that wasn’t a big deal. The hotel doesn’t offer any airport shuttles, but you can take the Connectabus for $6.50 NZD. This definitely beats the $38 NZD that we paid our taxi on the way in! But over all, it is a nice hotel, located at the edge of the city center. So it’s on a nice quiet street right next to the Queenstown Gardens, and away from the main hustle and bustle. We loved it and would absolutely stay here again if we came back to Queenstown!

“Friendly Staff and Comfortable Stay”

The hotel employees are quite courteous and they take the time to assist each guest. They have quite a large number of tour groups as well as locally-based evening receptions on a revolving basis. I stayed for thirteen nights and never had a problem. I would definately recommend it as a good bargain for the nightly price.

Area recommendations

The area around the shorline and the wharf is quite good. It's centrally located and well lit at night.
