beautiful river and mountains viewPosted Sep 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
We ordered a standard river view room and were upgraded to a premium room which was on the third floor with beautiful view of the Shotover river. The room was very specious, the bed was comfortable and we had great 3 relaxing days. The hotel is 25 minutes drive from Queenstown city center and is very quiet. You also get a free access to the SPA which in our case was totally private. Much recommend for anyone with a car who doesn't want to stay away of Queenstown. Make sure you pay a bit extra for the river view

Stunning surroundingsPosted Sep 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall it's a charming hotel with an individuality that is often lacking in the known chains (accommodating and friendly staff, free wifi, free DVDs). The condition of the hotel has however seen better days in places (torn curtains, wonky lamp fittings, balcony doors and windows that didn't close) and cleaning in the initially unseen areas that could be vastly improved. Overall the pluses outweigh the minuses and the spectacular location goes along way to overcoming the shortcomings.

Really romanticPosted Aug 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Really romantic and relaxing, if you are looking for an easily accessible place this probably isnt the hotel, the bus stop is right outside but we caught it two days in a row and both days the bus ran 30mins+ late. Other than that the hotel is lovely, the spa is magnificent, the dining isnt bad but the service is great. The location was great for access to Coronet Peak. Overall very relaxing and romantic vibe.
