Gorgeous view!

Front desk seemed preoccupied, each time we had a question. Beds extremely firm. Wait staff were friendly/helpful.

Positively excellent stay

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: The monkeys and the tucans and the views and the sloths and the excellent staff
Location: One of the other great things to try in the area is the El Avion restaurant which has breathtaking views and a great story.
Had the presidential suite with my 2 sisters and it was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff and the hotel itself was magical. Would recommend to anyone from couples or single to families. Merry Christmas to all at La Mansion Inn!!

Quaint with a lovely view

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: The 360 degree views are fabulous.
Cons: Unfortunately it rained a lot when we were there - but, as they say, you can't change the weather!
Location: Very close to Manuel Antonio Park. Moderate walk to two beaches.
My husband and I stayed at La Mansion Inn. We were greeted warmly by the staff; given a tour by the Manager; and enjoyed the Friday night Managers cocktail party. The views were beautiful and the staff very helpful in organizing the tours and offering suggestions on places to go.

More than just a comfortable place to stay

Posted Dec 20, 2014
The Inn manager and all of his staff greeted us and went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable. They provided tips on local places to go and see. The Inn provides a free shuttle to and from the beach and Manuel Antonio proper 3 times daily. The Inn itself is an interesting place to enjoy.

Great location, great food

Few minute walk/hike to the beach. The best breakfast I had in all of Costa Rica. Great views from balcony rooms! Loved it!

Not what we expected.

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: Manager
Cons: Change the way the rooms are classified (views). Work with the front desk staff to improve customer service. Replace old/stained furniture in rooms.
This hotel was a big disappointment. We rented a room with an ocean view; however, the room we were given did not have an ocean view. We had only a very small view through the trees. The view was really of trees (which were beautiful) and power lines. This room should not be advertised as ocean view, but partial ocean view would be more appropriate. Other hotels advertise rooms in such a manner. The other disappointment was the lack of friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. There were a couple occasions where we called down and made a request, only to have to call back over an hour later because nothing had been done. Finally, the hotel was noisy. Lot's of noise in the hall and we could always hear the people above and they weren't loud, but we could here their normal activities. The only good thing about the hotel was the manager. He was very friendly and would go out of his way to talk to all the guests. He was great! Other than that, it was not a good hotel and not worth the price.

Best view, not just for couples

Posted Nov 20, 2014
We had a girls trip and the staff took excellent care of us from the first step in the door to our final exit. We had a great view of the national park, enjoyed many piña coladas in the pool after morning excursions and beach time, and felt like it was our exquisite home away from home.

Paradise

I stayed at the La Mansion Inn for 6 nights it's a beautiful hotel with breathtaking views, the staff are excellent and extremely friendly and cater to all your needs, the Dutch bartender Bart at the hotel will go out of his way to help you with anything you need and even just a good/funny conversation while you enjoy your drink, the food is great here too, my only con was one girl on the desk usually in the afternoon seemed a little unfriendly /grumpy and I felt like it was a effort to ask her for something. Just a cold attitude but everyone else was great.

Beautiful, Clean, Friendy Hotel in the Cliffs

Posted Nov 17, 2014
Pros: Our room, the view, the excellent staff
Cons: Bat cave bar
Location: Beach, restaurants, adventure activities (ziplining, ATV's, catamaran tours, jungle park, horseback riding, etc).
My wife and I stayed at La Mansion Inn for 5 days during our 1 year anniversary vacation. It was a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable. They helped to orchestrate all of our activities and transportation, so we had absolutely no headache. Our room was a deluxe with a king bed and small kitchen area which was clean and perfect for what we needed. The balcony was a nice size and overlooked the cliffs and ocean with a completely unobstructed view. It was awesome to have our cup of coffee out there each morning. The pool was a lot of fun with a swim up bar overlooking the same amazing view we had from our balcony. It was quiet and serene; a perfect place to relax. We also had breakfast out there each morning, which was a full menu and very enjoyable. The bat cave bar is interesting... depending on your point of view, it may or may not be enjoyable because it is truly a cave. Musty, poorly ventilated, in all fairness what you would expect in a cave... it just wasn't our cup of tea. All in all, we would definitely stay at LMI again. It was very romantic and enjoyable for our anniversary. Manuel Antonio is a great little beach town with a lot to offer, and this hotel is perfectly suited for the area.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel

I would consider staying somewhere else. The food was awful, the staff was not very attentive, and the facility itself is unimpressive. Parking is a nightmare.
