OK hotel aimed at American clientele.Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: The wonderful grounds which are beautifully kept with lots of wildlife. Monkeys are there everyday as well as birds, agoutis & even the odd sloth.
Cons: Give a little back such as free coffee facilites & free tour bookings. Sinks need a plug and repositioning so that shorter people can reach over them!
Location: Restaurants and shops within walking distance and nearby bus stops for short bus rides to Quepos and Manuel Antonio beach area and national park.
We spent the last 6 nights of our two week holiday at The Falls hotel hoping for a dream experience to end a dream vacation. The hotel is ok but not for us I'm afraid. It has the most beautiful grounds with lush greenery & plenty of wildlife which makes up for a lot. The deluxe rooms are huge with big beds & are lovely. However any room except the standard ones (Rooms 1 to 8 which have private patios with hammocks) have shared patios with a tiny table & two chairs. The sink was very difficult to use as a 5ft female - I couldn't reach over it to wash my face. There are no free coffee facilities only a fridge full of mini bar items & bottles of overpriced wine for you to purchase. We paid five dollars extra per person for the hotel to call & book tours for us than we would have if we had called ourselves. The pool area is nice but very small and close to the restaurant & reception so not very private & can get busy. The sun beds are positioned with a few inches between you & the next bed with no room for manouvre! For an expensive hotel it felt like it was more style over substance with little of the caring & welcoming feel of all the other hotels we stayed in on our trip. On check in the lady kept me waiting with no acknowledgement of my presence for quite a while as she finished a lengthy converation with the workmen. We requested a change of room to standard but to no avail although they didn't seem full. Otherwise the staff were good especially in the restaurant.

Lovely Stay~Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: Amenities. Landscaping, hotel room, always eager to help staff
We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!! Our room was excellent, the hotel grounds are beautiful and the hotel staff are attentive, courteous and eager to help. We got to see interesting birds, white faced monkeys and a sloth. The food at their restaurant is excellent and the bar service is very good. We had some dietery restrictions but they were happy to accomodate us and cook as per our requirements. Our server Herrardo was always happy to help us in anyway possible and tell us about different birds and animals. We truly enjoyed our stay here and cannot wait to go back!! Highly recommended for everyone.

Very happy here!Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Room, property, staff, free breakfast, location.
Location: Walking distance to the beach and Manuel Antonio National Park.
This hotel is in a great location, walking distance from the beach and park but far enough away that you feel like you are in your own little paradise. The grounds are so beautiful and there are tons of animals around. Within our first 20 minutes there we spotted a huge group of monkeys in the tree above the pool. On our last night there was a sloth hanging out in front of the hotel. The rooms were spacious and very nice, we loved our little patio with hammock and the staff was so helpful and very friendly. I loved it here and cannot wait to visit again.

Great hotel, great location, wonderful staffPosted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: That it had everything we needed in a beautiful setting, and is small and personal.
Cons: We didn't see monkeys at the hotel during our stay, but that's just how nature works. We did see many in the national park though!
Location: We loved the zipline/canopy tour and also went deep sea fishing, did the ATV/waterfall hike, and hiked on our own in Manuel Antonio national park.
My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying 6 nights at The Falls Resort last week. I cannot say enough positive things about our stay; it was everything we hoped for. The hotel itself has beautiful landscaping and ambiance. Our room was private and spacious with a locked safe, mini-bar, wi-fi, cable TV, and small outside sitting area. The setting was tropical and peaceful. The hotel has a nice restaurant onsite and our rate included breakfast each day. Breakfast included both continental buffet (their banana bread is excellent!) and you can order hot items too (eggs, potatoes, pancakes, etc). They serve drinks poolside - GREAT margaritas. And everyone there was so friendly and helpful. Costa Rica is a slower pace than the US, so this might be different for some people. But we found if you are patient and considerate, it is returned to you double! I want to specially compliment Adriana who helped us with many things. She recommended and booked activities, answered all of my questions, and was a pleasure to see every day. We also enjoyed meeting and seeing other staff at the bar and restaurants every day. It felt like family by the end!! Manuel Antonio area is also very beautiful with more than enough to do for a week. We wished we had more time, and hope to return with the entire family next time! And would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for charming, "local," boutique hotel (vs. a big resort like Marriott), this is it!

I now have The Place to stayPosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The staff made you feel like you were with family. I watch how everyone was treated. From Michael getting your bags, to Big Lou and Roberto at dinner.
Cons: Can't think of anything bad to say.
Location: Manuel San Antonio needs better signage. When you move a entrance you need to tell.
Great staff, Good Food, Room was awesome. The people at the hotel made the experience one I will not forget.

The Falls won't disappointPosted Mar 12, 2015
Just returned from a stay at the Falls. Nice location, pretty gardens, clean, small pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nice. You can eat all the fresh fruit you want. We stayed in a deluxe room and the Internet was pretty good.

Amazing staff! Best food!Posted Mar 12, 2015
This hotel is a quick walk or bus ride to the beach. The staff is absolutely amazing! The restaurant is one of the best of anywhere we ate! We saw monkeys from our room and a sloth hanging out front!! There is no hot tub but the pool is perfect temperature and it was too hot for a hot tub while we were there anyway. One thing people who have handicaps should know is that there is no elevators and most rooms are up stairs. Also, no phones, hair dryers, or coffee pots in rooms. The coffee at breakfast is amazing though! Actually, coffee everywhere in Costa Rica was amazing! I would definitely stay here again!

Tropical RainforestPosted Mar 10, 2015
Friendly, attentive, and informative staff. Hotel grounds resembled a lush tropical rainforest punctuated by clusters of rooms. The room itself had high-ceilings and a rustic feel. A mosquito net drape accompanied the bed and was useful at night. A/C and fan are available and adjustable. The bathroom was beyond spacious with a walk-in shower and bench. The outside porch included a seating area as well as hammock. The hotel restaurant was delicious and modern with attentive staff and included a filling breakfast buffet and entree. Beach towels were provided. Parking was easy and the local bus stop was just steps away to both Manuel Antonio and Quepos (especially given the hilly, windy roads).
