Nightmare - staff not trained!!!Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: location, clean, pet-friendly rooms,
Cons: STAFF TRAINING
I made my reservations with Expedia. On check in I was told there was no record of our reservation. I gave the hotel my confirmation number from Expedia. They told me they called Expedia and Expedia didn't have a record of my reservation. Finally I called Expedia myself who then called the hotel and sorted everything out immediately The real clincher for me was when the front desk locked us out of our room until we produced a credit card(note our room was already paid for) for the front desk a second time as they had LOST the original credit card imprint they we gave them on check in. And for a final laugh when we checked out they showed us staying in a different room. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone until the new owners provide their front desk staff with adequate training.

Close to town and to the road to BarkervillePosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Location and breakfast
Location: Quesnel is a wonderful little town, lovely walks along the Fraser and Quesnel rivers in the municipal parks, Barkerville is the best provincial park.
Stayed at the hotel before, consistently good service.

Good valuePosted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was very clean. The breakfast was well done with lots of choices, the eating area was kept clean, and items brought out as needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again.

Reasonably quiet consideringPosted May 19, 2014
Pros: The breakfast and hot tub
Cons: Sound proofing between rooms
Location: Good for walking the river bank
Check-in confusing evan though we booked and paid in advance, staff excellent, other customers no so much. Is that Quesnel for you or is that every where. Excellent rooms

Business TripPosted May 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
I requested a top floor unit per hotels.com website when asked if there were any special requests and the hotel never received the information. This is the 3rd time this has happened at various properties most recently Ramada and Quality Inns. It seems the question on Hotels.com does not carry over to the vendor which is disappointing. However, upon mention of this the hotel promptly upgraded me to a really nice suite on the top floor as requested and apologized for hotels.com poor performance in this regard.
