Good hotel near the main tourist sightsPosted Aug 23, 2014
Very near the main sights of Quimper (cathedral, museums, charming old buildings in pedestrianised centre, etc). Hotel looks nothing special from outside, but is very nice (and very French - in a good way) on inside. Nice room, large comfy bed, 2 comfy seats, lots of natural light, quiet (we were on courtyard side). Helpful staff. Good check-in (2pm) and check-out (12.00) times. Limited amount of parking at hotel: you may want to book a space in advance. Failing that you can find free parking on street outside or at Place de la Tourbie (short walk up hill).

Great base for a city breakPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Central location; cleanliness of room & reasonable room rates.
Cons: Would have preferred a fridge in the room so it was possible to keep drinks chilled as we were fortunate to have warm weather during our stay.
Location: Bus fare to airport Euro 1.20 (taxi was Euro 30) Fare of Euro 2 by bus to Benodet & Concarneau were good day trips. Try Cider, crepes & ice cream!
The hotel was close to the attractions, shops and restaurants in the city centre and about 10 minutes walk to the rail and bus station yet still in a reasonably quiet street so it was easy to get a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed.

Comfortable and sweet hotelPosted May 30, 2014
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent with a large buffet of crêpes, bread, pastries, yoghurt, fruits and cereals. All in all we had a good experience of Gradlon. If you're looking for a stylish and chic hotel then the Gradlon is not for you - but if you're looking for a good value, comfortable hotel that takes care of its guests then you won't be disappointed.

Great location close to the historic centrePosted Sep 12, 2012
Hotel was very good, centrally located and staff were excellent. If there was a downside it was that the room although triple glazed was on the street and if you wanted any fresh air you could hear traffic noise.

Extremely pleasedPosted Nov 14, 2011
I stayed at six different hotels on my 2 week trip to France and this was the best one. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This establishment had all the characteristics of a well run business: sincere staff that went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent breakfasts. Loved the Breton-influenced decorum of the room. Great value too. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel gradlon in QuimperPosted Aug 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
Conveniently located within walking distance of town centre and historic sites. Pleasant owners and staff, attractive interior, good breakfast. Parking in Quimper is a nightmare - no parking on site (garage but reserved both nights) - hotel should advise clients to unload directly outside and then advise nearest pay car parks. Unattractive location.

Great locationPosted Aug 8, 2011
Hotel Gradlon in the old Brittany town of Quimper is ideally located only around 100 metres from the centre. Close to cathedral, shops, market and countless bars/cafes/restaurants. Excellent English spoken by the staff - but try a little French yourself first! Room comfortable and clean. Cannot vouch for the breakfast as we like to eat in one of the little bars, but we saw their breakfast buffet and it it looked very good. They charge for oarking but there is a carpark only yards from the hotels front door wihich is free overnight.

Lovely quiet hotel in charming Breton cityPosted Aug 3, 2009 on Hotels.com
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quiet, centrally located hotel in Quimper. The hotel is not impressive from the street but on entering we were greeted warmly and enjoyed great service in understated comfort and a very pleasant breakfast. Would love to return, both to the hotel and to Quimper.
