“Not impressed”
For the positive points; Great friendly service, restaurant in hotel. For the not so positive points; This is an older hotel with several things wrong with the room, bath tub repaired more than once, carpet very old and stained, walls in need of new paint. Construction going on near hotel so its hard to get in and out. Hotel shuttle service is only for specific times, so getting to or from the airport may not be convenient and may end up getting a cab. For the price I would not recommend this hotel again.
“Good for a quick stay”
Not the most convenient place to get to but not bad for a quick stay, especially if you need to be close to the highway/airport but for considerably less money than the actual city/airport hotels charge. Did not have time to appreciate the bar/restaurant/breakfast but they seemed to be doing a good job with those amenities - better than average.
“I like it”
good palce, worth the price
“Boston trip”
Hotel staff was very nice a helpful. Shuttle to and from airport and other areas was great!! Didn't have to use a cab the entire trip. Rooms could have been cleaner tho. Sheets made us itchy (not bedbugs, we checked :) ) But it must be their sheets are old and cheap or the detergent they use. couldn't flush the toilet or turn on sink while someone was in the shower or the shower would lose most pressure and temp would change. That shouldn't happen in a hotel. Complmentary, sit down, hot breakfast was good. Very nice choices and good food.
“Just OK”
The main reason we stayed at the Adams Inn was because they had a shuttle to the airport and to the cruise ship pier. WARNING: book your shuttle ride early! Of the 4 times we would have used it, only twice worked out for us. One time the shuttle was already full and we had to call a cab ($40 cost), and the other time there was a 1.5 hour wait for it to come get us (another $40 cab ride). The view out the windows to the river and the park across the river was nice, but the windows don't open. On-site restaurant was very handy and we had a couple of good dinners and breakfasts (free) there. The subway station was a little too far for my 80 year old mother to walk to, so the shuttle ran us over and picked us up again, which was nice. All the employees were very helpful, it's just that the hotel itself is a bit tired and could use an updating.
“average place to stay”
don't take room 101, 103, 105. they are located in a congested corner with elevator....too noisy....check in was easy, no warm welcome though. They advertise a pool and deck, we were told we could use the deck they were taking in all the chairs...it was a beautiful afternoon...just wanted to chill outside rather than in our stuffy room....also they advertise a gazeebo, but that is only for functions, we weren't allowed to go there either...oh well....the price was too much for average service.... they are not prepared for a large crowd to come for breakfast. Very limited items you can pick from for the "free" breakfast...people got up an left.
“Great Hotel for visiting Boston”
Location was great for travellers with a car, just off the highway to Boston. Hotel was a little hard to get to though even with directions (because it's sort of next to a bridge). Great service from everyone. Recommended for families with young children especially when the pool is open. The complimentary cook-to-order breakfast was above our expectation both in terms of quality and quantity. There's a Domino's within walking distance and a Chinese restaurant nearby, if you choose not to dine at the hotel restaurant. Will definitely go back when visiting Boston again.
“Adams - 0911”
Musty smell. Wall paper needs repair. Food ok. WIFI ok. Staff friendly
“Review”
Stayed two nights. Nothing too special. Standard Best Western hotel. Had mixed results with the hotel wifi dying on me occasionally. They have a small restaurant / bar area where apparently some locals will come and chill at night - so what I thought would be a quiet drink at the hotel bar was a lively conversation with some residents of the Quincy area and another hotel guest. The service in general was not particularly cordial or rude; although I noticed that often I had to walk up to someone and directly ask them for assistance even if there was a line - you could just cut in and that's just how it was. Despite being in a non-smoking room, the room always smelled like smoke when I came in each night.
“Dated”
Not a great experience. Staff was good.
