Very pleasant hotel superbly located in the "Centr

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Superb location, friendly staff, good food and relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: A magnifying mirror in the bathroom would help those of us over forty.
Location: The old city is right on the doorstep. The guayasimin museum is twenty minutes away by taxi and is well worth a visit, with its temple to humanity.
We arrived in the rainy season and it was very pleasant to have the Hotel so near the attractions of the historic centre of Quito. Whenever thr rain got to heavy we could quickly get back to our very pleasant room to relax. The room itself was very comfortable with the added feature of being able to sit in the very spacious and comfortable balcony of the inner patio.

Great experience

Posted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Spotlessly clean! Wonderful breakfast and very comfortable beds
Location: The hotel is in el centro with easy walking to shops, restaurants, and museums. Only a couple of blocks to see the presidential palace
I planned to stay at Patio Andaluz for one day. I was passing through Quito on my way to Cuenca and decided to stay over a day to see friends. I ended up staying 2 days because of a canceled airline flight. It couldn't have been more pleasant!

Downtown Old Quito

Posted Aug 28, 2014
This was a gem of a hotel located in "Old Town Quito". The drive to the hotel down cobblestone, narrow streets had me wondering if I had picked the right hotel but once inside, I knew I made the right choice. This is a historical site, converted to a hotel and was full of charm and comfort. The staff was exceptional and I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay. I was so very much impressed with the room suite which was large, and had a very comfortable bed. Our room did have a sitting room and bathroom located up a set of spiral, wood stairs (which added some charm), but wasn't something that would prevent me from booking this hotel again.

Pros: Excellent downtown hotel. Good restaurant. Very helpful staff.
Location: This hotel is in the middle of the Old City. Most of the tourist sites we were interested were within walking distance.
Beautiful hotel in the middle of the Old City of Quito. Within one block of the lovely main square and the presidential palace. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Great location in the Old Town

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Location, staff and good space. Good value.
Cons: Plumbing noise.
Location: Only one block from the main square makes it one of the best located in Quito. Good value. Not much to do for children though.
Hotel facilities and dining were very good. We stayed 7 days and ate there every day without needing to repeat dinner selections and the overall quality was good with no adverse tummy reactions! The only downside is that the building is a converted traditional Spanish mansion with no carpets and noisy plumbing. This is not an issue during the day, but we knew when others had early flights to catch through the plumbing and wood flooring footstep echoes. Apart from that we would recommend it. Excellent and friendly staff.

Great hotel two block from presidential quarters

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Cons: Small table in the room with two chairs would've been perfect.
Great hotel two block from the presidential quarters and a block from old town plaza, hotel Patio Andaluz is a gem. Ecuador is a lovely country with beautiful and smiling faces right from the airport ride to hotel employees and anywhere else you go. Hotel Patio Andaluz is a gorgeous boutique hotel with the best concierge service (bilingual Spanish/English staff everywhere). There is no better way to start a trip to South America than in Ecuador, and no better hotel than Patio Andaluz in Quito. The restaurant, with delicious Ecuadorean local fare, is in the hotel foyer and has open skylights that gives the ambience of Moorish design. The interior architecture takes you to a different time in history, full of interesting details you will only find in great building restoration projects. This three storey structure is finely balanced between professionalism and comfort.

Great hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
When booking online you always wonder about the hotel you book until you see it. We were relieved to find a beautiful boutique hotel in a very central location. Staff could not do enough for you. A perfect finish to our stay in Ecuador. A nice touch was complimentary welcome drinks. Also provided wifi login at checkin without having to ask for it like in a lot of places we stayed.
