NO AIR CONDITIONER

Cons: Get air conditioners
The hotel is in a really good location, near of almost every bussines and goverment office. The staff was kind and helpfull but the bellboy was really annoying trying to get a better tip (i asked him for a driver and, at least, makes me 5 calls to the room offering me different services). Its really imperative to get air conditioner for the rooms. Nights in Quito are Cold, so you can´t open your windows, but the closed room was so hot that you can´t sleep comfortable. the staff offered me a fan

Good value and good location

I have stayed at several hotels in Quito and this is the best value for your money. It is two blocks from a big mall for getting supplies and groceries, and two blocks from the botanical gardens and herpiterium. The rooms are small but adequate. There is a free room safe. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site is excellent. They are very concerned about service and food quality and asked us several times during our stay to take a survey. Highly recommended.

Good hotel in Quito.

Pros: It has everything one could need for a short or long visit.
Cons: The hotel offers a 24 hour room service. However it would be good to have a coffee maker in the room.
Staff if very helpful and courteous. I stayed in this hotel in a business travel and I was glad it was confortable to have good sleep.

5 star service at 3 star prices

After a bad experience at a different hotel in Quito, the Howard Johnson was where I spent my final three nights in Ecuador. It was an oasis of comfort, quality and excellent service. I have stayed in 5 star-rated hotels in other countries with nowhere near the quality and level of service that I enjoyed in Quito. Well beyond my expectation, including the taxi SUV drivers stationed in front of the hotel. You would have to pay triple the price in Europe to receive the same level of attention and care. Not one point to fault.

Geweldige service

Uitstekend hotel. De kamers worden momenteel vernieuwd. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en prettig. Het eten in het restaurant is zeer goed. Het enige minpunt is het drukke verkeer in de directe omgeving, wat doordringt tot de lagere verdiepingen.

Exceptional service

I could not find anything to complain about this hotel. From check in to check out everything worked smoothly in my 4 days. Staff provides exceptional service, always calling by my name, in person or on the phone. Food is great in the restaurant and room service. Location is superb, my room had a great view over La Caroline park, I could reach my business meetings by foot. I would definitely go back. Congrats!

Very comfortable room

I was upgraded to a King bed in a junior suite (requested queen), which was very comfortable and plenty of space. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, although the last day I was called 3-4 times in the last hour before check-out to remind me of check-out time - that was 2-3 times too many. There is a mall about 2 blocks away and I felt safe walking there at night. The botanical gardens are across the street; otherwise, not much in the immediate vicinity. Restaurant in hotel was small but the food was great.
