Stay here, it is the perfect hotel!Posted Jun 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
After a stressful day of traveling, when I finally arrived at the hotel and walked into the lobby, I was greeted like a long lost relative. Immediately my bags were taken, I was ushered to a seat and offered a much needed glass of wine. They expressed their concern over my late arrival (they said they were beginning to worry about me) but most likely it was due to my hectic appearance. Either way, their concern was genuine and much appreciated. I stayed here for 3 nights and on the second day Maria, after learning I had not explored the local area very well, was kind enough to take time out of her day to show me around the local shops and introduce me to the proprietors up and down La Ronda. In the hotel I was introduced to all of the staff from the maid to the receptionist to the chef (everyone was was so attentive and personable). Maria also made sure anything I wanted or needed was taken care of. She went above and beyond and her attentiveness to me as well as the other guests was endearing. The hotel itself is conveniently located on a safe, historic, pedestrian only street in the heart of old town. There are plenty of shops and restaurants located near by (although I highly recommend the hotel restaurant as everything I ate was delicious). The hotel is charming and the rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. The bed was huge and the shower was heavenly. I would definitely stay here again so I highly recommend anyone else visiting Quito to stay here.

Great location in historical center of QuitoPosted May 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel has a great location if you want to see the sights in the historical center of Quito. It is located on La Ronda and even though the street can be busy and noisy, especially over the weekend, inside the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. We had a junior suite since we traveled with our son and our room was very spacious and had 3 beds. The beds were a little too hard for me, but fairly comfortable. The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and a great shower. We did not hear any street noise, since our room faced an interior courtyard. The service was great. Our room did not come with breakfast and we found the breakfast to be a little expensive, so we walked a few blocks to the Plaza Santa Domingo and had a great breakfast for just a few dollars. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It is in a historic building, but has been very well card for. We stayed initially for 4 nights and returned for 1 night before we left for the US. They were kind enough to hold a large suitcase for my son, which was quite helpful.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the old townPosted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: The decoration and style of the hotel and the rooms
Cons: The noise and the overprized breakfast
Location: In the heart of old quito
The attention to the guests' concerns was extraordinary. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and a pleasure to look at. However, the rooms facing the street might be a bit noisy, especially during weekends or street festivities. Because the hotel is located in a pedestrian area, taxis cannot drive to the entrance of the hotel and people have to carry their luggage from an intersection to the hotel. The breakfast is in our opinion a bit over prized, probably three times the price compared to other locations.
