We booked a taxi at the airport desk and it cost $US to be delivered to the door. The staff are very friendly, with excellent English and the answer to any request we made was "No problema". The breakfast was continental style, tasty and plentiful.

Location is great, rooms are a bit small by american standard but this is normal Quito standard. Very very nice rooms, clean, hospitable staff...great breakfast, very nice ambiance to hang around. Opposite the hotel is a restaurant...don't miss the fish and chifles there...Even though I stayed in two other hotels in Quito (Hotel San Francisco and Casa Joquin), I think Veijo Cuba was the best overall and best overall value. This would be my number one boutique hotel choice....

It's amazing what you get for this price: very friendly staff, clean rooms, hot (really hot!) water, fast Wi-Fi, very nice breakfast, nice location in a quiet place close to Radisson and Swiss Hotel :)
I would definitely recommend this hotel! It's worth even more than it costs :)

The personnel at La Colina is extremely friendly and helpful. They also speak english. The room is a one bedroom 2 bath apartment complete with a living/dining room. It also had a nice view of the city. The price we received through Expedia was very reasonable. We were able to walk to a nice grocery store (a SuperMaxi) about 2 and a half blocks away just across the street from a bus station. It would be my first choice if I were to go back to Quito.

The Hotel staff make my experience there. They went out of their way to help me out with both business and tours. It was my second time there, and I had the same room both times. It is starting to feel like my place in Quito! The bed is comfortable and very warm - a very good thing at night in Quito! There are restaurants nearby. It is in a safe neighborhood. The only thing I wish I could change is a nearby nightclub that plays very loud music in the evenings. Oh yes, I also enjoyed watching a TV show in English for a change. There is a Juliette style balcony with this hotel room. Each room is different. This hotel is in the Mariscal part of Quito.
