A different experiencePosted Sep 3, 2009 on Hotels.com
We all thought we had arrived at Fawlty Towers when armed with a Huge Ledger we were walked up to our room and then brought back again because it was the wrong one and then taken back to the right one, which was very strange as we seemed to be the only guests in this quite large Hotel. However, we were made really welcome and the food was excellent. Though it was funny to have 4 people trying to work a credit card machine only to find it had no paper roll in and they did not have a roll to fit it.

The Town Saves This OnePosted Jul 12, 2009 on Hotels.com
Racconigi is a gem of a northern Italian town--and that saved something of our experience at this hotel. The facility itself is modest, but generally well-kept. As in too many places in Italy, claims of air-conditioning should be considered fictional. Staff speaks almost no English, and breakfast is all pre-packaged goods--nothing fresh.
