Cons: Keep it up!
Location: Old town sights, shopping and rstaurants
Ragusa is a very beautiful town and san Giorgio palace hotel is located very close to the old town center. This is wonderful for sightseeing, great restaurants and shopping.. Hotel rooms are great; they have parking facility; wonderful breakfast, very clean rooms. During booking and subsequently, the hotel contacted us regularly and we would very highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel in beautiful Ragusa

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable, with friendly staff and nice views of the town. A short walk from the hotel to the main square neR the Duomo.
Cons: Refine the driving directions to help make it easier to find, although they did send me an email with GPS coordinates which were very helpful .
Location: From the hotel it is short walk to the Duomo and main square, there are some very nice restaurants and Ragusa is a beautiful town to stroll through.
We'had a one night stop in Ragusa on our driving trip through Sicily and very much enjoyed our stay at San Giorgio Palace Hotel. It can be a little difficult to find as you can't drive to the front of the hotel and have to acces it from the Main Street below but there is ample free street parking right outside the entrance to the hotel and its car inaccessibility means you are perched on the hillsides of Ragusa, a lovely Baroque city. The staff is friendly, the room well appointed with the most well equipped bathroom we had in our stay in Italy. They have a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room.

Best hotel in Sicily

Posted Nov 16, 2014
We were given a huge room with 2 full bathrooms with shower and bath, multiple outlets ( a rarity in Sicily), perfect wifi which you didn't have to re-sign into all the time, huge terrace with lovely view, best breakfast spread we had in Sicily (7 hotels), very welcoming and friendly staff, although they shld be trained to answer in Italian if you speak to them in Italian. The location is wonderful: you park way down below the city and then take an elevator right up to the hotel which is right in the town center and you are 2 minutes away from everything by walking.

Hotel Piccolo ma Eccellente

Posted Nov 4, 2014

Lovely hotel

Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Staff we're very kind nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Apparently they are increasing the number of rooms and adding a pool in the near future. I hope they don't loose their friendliness in the process.
Location: Ragusa Ibla were hotel located is probably easiest to access for the first time by car or taxi. We arrived by bus bit tricky to find but we got there
Small hotel and the staff were wonderful. Would definately go again.

4 star hotel with 5 star attitude

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, wonderful friendly service, near lots of restaurants and sights in Ragusa.
Cons: A restaurant would have been nice
Location: 40 minutes from Comiso airport and with easy access to Val de Noto towns of Modica, Scicli, Noto and Siracusa.
We have just returned home after 7 nights at the San Giorgio Palace and cannot sing its praises too high. Perfectly situated a few minutes away from Piazza Duomo - the centre of Ragusa Ibla - where there is a great choice of restaurants, it is a great base for visiting the Val de Noto - Siracusa, Scicli, Modica and Noto. If you're an Inspector Montalbano fan like me then a 40 minute bus ride takes you to the his TV house in Punta Secca, which is also a lovely way to spend a day at the beach. The hotel is small but none the worse for that. Our room was cleaned spotlessly each day and I particularly appreciated the enormous bath sheets provided. Breakfast was great, with a choice of local and more traditional things to eat. But it is the incredibly helpful and friendly service that makes the San Giorgio Palace stand out. We had a wonderful stress free holiday and special thanks for this go to Ivan, Ersilia and Giancarlo for their help in sorting out our itinerary. We didn't want to hire a car so we did pose them a few problems!! However, Ivan introduced us to Angela - numero uno taxi driver in Ragusa - who was always there for us when the bus and train timetables didn't work with what we wanted to do. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
