Great hotel; Perfect location

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location, value, bed
Cons: There were a lot of people eating breakfast and staff were having a hard time keeping everything stocked.
Location: Easy access to shopping, dining and the highway.
We went to Cary for a high school graduation and were very pleased! The location of this hotel is near everything, but not in the middle of a chaotic shopping district like some other hotels in town. The room was great and the bed/pillows the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I actually think I'm going to try to buy the same pillows for home. Terrific value. This will be our go-to place when traveling to Cary.

Would not stay here again.

Hotel felt old. Went to check into room and the key didn't work so we had to go back to the desk to fix the key. Asked if they had coffee and was told that she didn't make it since she started her shift so she wasn't sure how fresh it was. Also was told that I had coffe in my room.?i like to get coffee in the loby when I'm at a hotel. There were guests who were at a wedding so I saw a drunk girl who was trying to get in our elevator before the door shut on her. Thank goodness because I was there with my 12 year old son.

Thank you for your comments. I regret that you would not choose to stay with us again. We normally give each guest two keys, so , they will have a back up in case the first one is lost. Sometimes for unknown reasons the little magnetic strip does not hold the programming I regret this happened to you during your time with us. We always have coffee in the lobby. I will address it with the staff. It is made at least once per shift and kept in Thermoses to stay hot for anyone that might want it.

Thank You for the Review. We appreciate all of our guest comments and suggestions. I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy our pillow-top mattresses. It is one thing most people especially enjoy. We have even had people call and ask me where to purchase them from. Perhaps we should consider having a few rooms with a firmer style that would be available upon request. We try to accommodate as many request as possible. Thank You again for sharing.

Pros: It is in a good area right behind Wakemed. It was very quiet.
Cons: The indoor pool and hot tub were very murky over the weekend. The staff worked very hard to clean it up and by Monday evening it was better.
Location: The town of Cary has beautiful parks. There is a nature preserve right down the road that is beautiful and work a visit.
Very pleasant staff. The breakfast was good and there were manager receptions Tuesday through Thursday with hot appetizers and free beer and wine.

Nice Stay

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Location and value
Cons: Could use a freshening up, faster elevator, breakfast could be better
Location: Near Koka Booth Amphitheater, shopping, and restaurants.
We stayed at the Comfort Suites Regency Park because we were attending an event at the nearby Koka Booth Amphitheater. It was very conveniently located and the price was just right. The room was spacious and comfortable. Check-in was a breeze and our room was ready early which we were really happy about. We are the type of travelers who don't spend a ton of time in the room so all we really care about is cleanliness and convenience. This hotel satisfied our expectations. The free breakfast is adequate and about what you'd expect at this type of hotel. We only used the elevator once and found it to be a little slow. Overall, I would give this hotel a 4 out of 5. It is starting to show it's age but it is perfect for a comfortable stay.

Decent facility, but had customer service issues

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Decent sized, clean suite, with working fridge and microwave. Clean, roomy pool and hot tub. Lots of hot options at breakfast- waffles, eggs, sausage.
Cons: Customer service. The rate I was given over the phone should have been politely honored. Also, $50 for a pet is higher than most of the competitors.
Location: Decent location for drives into Raleigh, Cary, or Apex. There are plenty of chain type restaurants nearby. Quite suburban, if that's what you want.
My elderly mother and my daughter and I were all stranded without power after an ice storm. After living with neither water nor power for a couple of days, we broke down and decided to share a hotel room for a night. My phone directed me to what I thought was this hotel's main number, but, in fact, it was to Expedia. I pre-paid and was given a total amount, mentioning that we were bringing a dog. When we arrived, the person at the desk wanted to collect an extra $50 for the dog. We were never given any information about a $50 pet fee, which seems unreasonable, and above and beyond what I normally have paid for a dog. He had me speak via phone to the hotel manager, who agreed to allow us to pay $25. I felt that since I was given a rate without a pet fee, the hotel should have honored this, but was willing to pay the $25 fee. The man at the desk proceeded to wait on every single person who came in after me, and I waited an extra half hour for him to get back around to me. We'd start up, then someone would wander in, and he'd walk away and check them in and leave me standing there. In the meantime, my elderly mother, my 8 year old daughter, and a beagle were all stuck waiting in the car. Once we got into the room, the situation improved. The pool was on the larger size for a hotel in this class, the hot tub was welcoming, and the breakfast offerings were more varied than I generally see. I would recommend upgrading to the 2 queen suite with 3 people and a dog, though.

Cons: Kindness of front desk
