“This place is fine ~”

Although I read some rather bad reviews of the Days Inn near Duke University, I stayed anyway. I'm glad I did. The open courtyard w/ pool is flanked by the rooms - good views. The room was clean and comfortable. I'll stay here again.

“Very good option for the cost”

Apart from a 15-minute burst of noise in the middle of the night from some lost neighbors who couldn't find their rooms, I had a very good experience in the three nights I stayed at this hotel. Price is really affordable and location is only a 5-10 minute drive from Duke campus.

“Will stay there again.”

We find the motel satisfactory in service, cleanliness, breakfast, and location. Since we stay at budget motels, we did not expect a four-star hotel, and since we had stayed there before, we knew what we would be getting if the ownership had remained the same (which it had). We would also recommend this motel to others who are looking for a good stay at a budget price.

I was very pleased with staying in this motel . The man who owns this days inn was very friendly and accomadatable. Vey comfortable place to be for a great value. We had the king standard room .

“Solid experience”

The hotel is a nice quiet place to stay. It is older, but in pretty good shape. It had a continental breakfast and no problems connecting to the wifi. It was a little hard to find as it is located behind the Budgetel.

“Not impressed”

The room maid did not speak English, and one day forgot to clean my room. Saturday evening was a birthday party and outside of my room was very noisy, beacause many children were playing until midnight.

First, the good stuff. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great for our events around the Duke campus. Breakfast was good, too. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a microwave and mini-fridge in our room. And there was free wifi. Now for the bad. The room was in rough shape. A piece of wood was nailed over what I guess was a huge hole in the bathroom wall. There was not thermostat in the refrigerator. And the room wasn't completely clean. My husband found used tissues behind the bedside table when he was looking for an outlet for his laptop. And clumps of dust were hanging off the heater/air conditioner. We didn't bother to turn it on because we were afraid of what it would blow on us. The shower smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. It looked bad enough that I fell asleep the first night praying that I wouldn't pick up any pests while staying there. Fortunately, I didn't pick up any pests, so it wasn't THAT filthy. We arrived late at night, and the parking lot looked kind of shady, but we had no problems. After staying a few days, I think I would be willing to stay again because it was inexpensive well-located and had good service, breakfast, and free wifi. However, I'm not sure that other people would appreciate it as I came to, so I wouldn't want to hurt my reputation by recommending it to someone else.

“Not the worst hotel, ever”

Room was not very clean or well maintained. Not the safest area of town. Difficult to find, as it is hidden behind another hotel, which is hidden behind a gas station. They do have an awesome continental breakfast though.

“Clean and the best price we could find”

Stayed here while in town for a funeral. Typically don't stay at this type of hotel so wasn't sure what to expect. The hotel was clean, however, which was nice but didn't like the antiseptic smell in the lobby. Pool looked nice, although I didn't check it out, others in my party did. Overall, it was clean and convenient.
