Very nice hotel

Only complaint was that mattress was too soft and made you roll to the middle. But this was not a huge issue and the entire hotel stay was was very nice.

One night in town for a concert

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, convenient location, great amenities.
Cons: Parking is a bit tight and complicated for larger vehicles.
Location: Convenient to I-40 and only 20 minutes to Durham; terrific city for shopping, restaurants, etc. as well as museums, parks, etc.
Very clean and convenient. Room was right off the elevators as was the pool; breakfast was great.

Shopping nearby and ease of access!

The hotel is near the new mall and other new shops. It's also near Rt. 40. The bed & pillows were comfortable. The room was clean. The staff members were polite & helpful.

Nice, inexpensive hotel

Nice, clean hotel. Only complaint: The free Breakfast was rather lacking and gross; eggs were nasty, nasty and choices were slim. Not as close to Duke campus as indicated on maps, but overall nice place.

Short visit to Durham made pleasant!

Posted Oct 9, 2014
I was only in Durham for the last few days of a 6 day trip to North Carolina. Could not have been more pleased by the quiet, elegant atrium lobby, modern rooms, and very comfy beds Fairfield Inn had to offer. No complaints at all and one very pleased guest!

business trip to UNC

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: This hotel was clean, fresh and central to everything of interest. right next to a chik fil A and behind southpoint mall. well stocked snack bar 24/
Cons: more selection in snack bar
Location: I had mtgs at airport as well as Chapel Hill and was within 15 min of each. Right behind southpoint mall. Near lots of stores and restaurants
This Fairfield Inn has been recently and totally renovated. They have a nice (small) gym, a snack area (open 24/7) next to the check in desk, inviting lobby with bar and breakfast area (extra fee for breakfast). I loved that the snack bar had individual bottles of red and chilled white wine. This hotel was central to RTP, including Chapel Hill.
