The instructions stated that breakfast was served until 11:00 in error. My husband and I went down at 9:55 am expecting to have breakfast. The chef on duty went out of his way to serve us even though the kitchen was closed, he made us waffles, eggs, sausage and potatoes. While he could had said sorry for the misprint but we closed at 10:00, he accommodated us instead, with a smile and made it apparent that he wanted to serve us. The hostess was also extremely kind and helpful and made sure that we had everything we need. It is one thing to give good service that is expected, but what we experienced that day was above and beyond. The chef and hostess also accommodated another family with small children that came down after we did. While the hotel should either fix the error so that it reflects the correct time that breakfast is served or have breakfast until 11:00 am as stated. But the service that we received from these two employees made an impression on me and I will return to this hotel when I am back in the Durham area.

“Nice room at a VERY nice price!”

The room was beautiful, staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE. Room service was pretty good, although the "mac and cheese with veggies" left room for improvement. The shrimp and grits was DELISH! Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. The location was great, right off of I-40 with easy access to downtown and surrounding areas.

“garden hilton”

I was there for a weekend, so the rate was cheaper than during the week. I liked this one because it had micro & fridge in room for the same cost as other local hotels without them.

“The place to stay in the RTP area”

I have stayed here in the past however since the hotel has gotten a facelift, it really looks wonderful. The staff is so very helpful and friendly. It makes being away from home so much easier. I would recommend this hotel to any business traveler or families. The rooms are all remodeled and beautiful. Even though there are many area to have dinner, the food in the hotel is wonderful.

“Happy At Hilton Gardens”

WOW! What a lovely stay at the Hilton Gardens. One reason why I selected the Hilton Gardens is that they served breakfast at a reasonable price. The food was fresh and tasty, their chef really accommodated my families selection and then came out and asked how everything was...I thought that was really thoughtful and caring. Our house keeper took care of all our needs and our room always had a very clean fresh scent. We actually extended our stay another day because we were so pleased.

“Great for a Quick Stay”

I stayed here casually one night, and it was great. The room was beautiful and clean, and it was nice having a mini fridge and microwave. The staff was incredibly friendly. The woman at the front desk gave me great advice about the area and gave me free toothpaste instead of making me go buy it because I forgot mine. Ordered room service which was delicious, and the man who brought it was polite and nice. I was only there one night and didnt see any services outside the room, but I was happy over all. Not to mention a very reasonable price for such a nice hotel. My only complaint is that their adjustable mattresses were a little strange and made a slightly weird sound, but once I figured out how to adjust it it was fine.

“Clean and Well-Maintained”

The beds are a little hard, and there was a lot of delivery traffic outside of the window. Backing trucks woke me up a few times during the night. The room was clean, and well-maintained. I was only there for a short overnight stay, so I can't add much. Internet access was free and speedy, and there was a free USA Today...a nice touch.
