“Nice stay at N Raleigh Hilton”

Customer service was excellent, every need taken care of. Very thoughtful employees, especially at the Lofton's breakfast area. The only thing I found unpleasant was the lighting in the room. It just wasn't cozy. Also, the bathroom was a little crowded. However, the bed was comfortable and we were able to sleep fine.

“Overall, a good stay, but...”

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is conveniently located, is clean and is certainly full service. The restaurant staff is great. However, I was shocked to see that the bartender on duty allowed a couple to bring their toddler into the bar. Not only that, the couple proceeded to give the child some of their beer while the bartender looked on. Is this a normal event at this hotel? I was appalled. I think for this reason, I won't stay at this hotel again. The hotel manager was great, though. She helped us out by moving us when we had an issue with a noisy neighbor in the next room.

Area recommendations

Check out the lakes in the area. Wonderful for boating, fishing and hiking.

When to go

Go in the summer when school's not in session. Otherwise, traffic will be continuous and hectic.

Dining

You have to eat at Saint-Jacque, a wonderful French restaurant in North Raleigh. The duck l'orange was the best I've ever had, and the rest of the meal was perfect, too. I found it unbelievable that a restaurant this amazing would be in Raleigh, but it was.

“Comfortable experience”

Stayed one nite while on a trip with my two yr old and the staff was helpful in accommodating to our needs. The food was pricey but good. The room was a comfortable size and the bed was very nice. Only down side was bathroom had no fan and water pressure wasn't great. Workout facility was newer and nice. Would definitely stay again.

“Hotel of our Choice in Raleigh”

After staying in several different hotels close to the downtown area we have found the North Raleigh Hilton to be our favorite. Since our daughter is in college in Raleigh we need a place to stay 3-4 weekends a year. The North Raleigh Hilton is convenient, close to restaurants, the downtown area, Trader Joe's, etc. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is handicapped friendly. The only down side is that there is no continental breakfast. We will definitely return here for another weekend!

Shopping

Love the shops and restaurants at Cameron Village. We also stop at Trader Joe's on every trip to Raleigh.

“Good bang for your buck!”

Was overall very please with the cleanliness of the hotel. Hotel staff were very accommodating with my request for a late checkout. Only down side was the breakfast buffet was expensive, but there is a Denny's right down the street. Would definitely stay again.

“Very pleased”

“A good nights sleep.”

The Raleigh Hilton was a very clean, upscale hotel. The most important thing to me is the bed was very comfortable with very comfortable pillows. We had a nice nights sleep.

Area recommendations

If you are up to shopping the Crabtree Valley Mall is very close by. This mall was redone a few years back and looks and feels like a new mall. It has a Macy's, Belks and Penneys as base stores. This is a large mall and all the other stores within are well known and some very upscale. There is a large food court and a Cheesecake Factory, as well as a number of other nice restaurants. You can't go wrong with this mall.

Events and shows

We went to see the Caroline Hurricanes play hockey at the RBC Center, my first pro hockey game. It was much fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. The arena was very nice with lots of places to buy food and a few nice restaurants. The parking was easy and leaving was much easier and faster than we thought it would be. And the arena was full. Other sporting events should learn from the RBC Center on how to move traffic out after the event is over.

“Christmas 2010”

The hotel staff was very friendly. We stayed on the executive floor which had it's own breakfast and social area. The only complaint is that it was only open 1 of the 4 days we were therre. My guess is that the hotel was so empty this time of year it didn't make economic sense to open it. AS a result we didn't get our complimentary breakfasts or a beer in the evening. Otherwise the staff and the other in house food service was very good.
