“Perfect place for us to stay, and we will stay at the Hyatt on our next trip to Raleigh.”

The wait staff at the hotel were always accomodating, and the room we had was quite large and comfortable. We did not spend much time there because we were visiting a large family, but we were ready to get to our nice room when the activities were over, The hotel seemed quite full on Thanksgiving weekend, and breakfast service was pretty slow. I was not bashful about asking for fruit, or toast, or anything that had "disappeared." The servers replenished as quickly as was possible.. We had trouble finding seats on two of our three mornings, but guests were happy to have us join their tables. All in all, it was a very good trip! .

“Wonderful hotel”

This is the second Hyatt Place in which I have stayed. They can't be beat for comfort and spaciousness. The beds are great. It's always quiet, clean, and feels very safe when I travel alone. Breakfast is good and the staff very helpful. This location was perfect for getting anyplace in town quickly even at rush hour.

Dining

Bahama Breeze which is in front of the hotel is a good place for dinner. Lots of good choices for a late light meal and the price was reasonable.

“Better than expected, but a little pricey”

Hyatt Place appears to be trying to be a trendier version of the typical travel hotel. The rooms are spacious and the flat-screen TV was crazy large. The only disadvantages were that the bathroom with split with the sink/counter in the alcove and the bath/shower/toilet in its own room--making the bathroom part so small that one had to step all the way in and then close the door in order to use the toilet. The free wifi was quite slow.

Area recommendations

Checked out The Pit--a BBQ place in Raleigh's warehouse district. Don't let the name fool you, the place is fairly upscale--but not fancy.

“Good service, "okay" hotel”

The service and friendliness of the employees are what made this stay better than it was. Check-in time was supposed to be at 3:00 pm. We arrived at 4:30 and was advised that our room should be ready in 15 minutes. Well, after waiting 55 minutes, we finally received our room! The staff was friendly and offered us meal "tickets", but that still didn't change the fact that it took so long to get a room that should have been ready an hour prior to us arriving. We had a king room and the room was nice for the price you pay. It was quiet and clean, which is really all you need. I wouldn't recommend buying breakfast there, as the food was horrible. The free breakfast they offer was actually better. Again, the staff made the visit better and they would have gotten a worse review had it not been for the service.

“Great place to stay while we were in Raleigh NC.”

This was a great hotel to stay at while we were vacationing in Raleigh NC. It was close to all of our destinations. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful.

“Nice hotel, service is lacking - especially food & drinks”

Although the quality of the hotel was great, what was lacking was in the services. First of all, the breakfast consists of cereal, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, and donuts (and that's it). You can order like 5 other items (breakfast burrito, waffle, etc.), but they charge out the door for them. We ended up eating at Denny's down the street. Also, you get a $25 credit toward your room at check-in for anything you order (drinks, coffee, breakfast, etc.). We utilized that and ordered 2 alcoholic drinks that night (which were incredibly expensive at $8 each). When we checked out, we only got $4 back when we thought we'd get more. We asked the clerk and she explained that the extra charge was tax on the drinks. That makes no sense at all. Probably not ever going to stay at a Hyatt again. Let me reiteriate myself though...very nice hotel, nice employees, but very limited breakfast and screwy pricing/charging for extra services.

“Not Happy”

The sink was clogged and the drain was slow in moving the water.We showed up at the swimming pool at 9:00 am the serviceman had us to wait about 30 minutes before the children can use it.We believe that the service should be done earlier especially during the Memorial Weekend. There was few towels and pillows at the room.
