“"baseball ready:”

The hotel was convenient to my son's baseball tournament location and was perfect to come back to, to shower and sleep before playing the next day. The hotel is a "no frill" bur also very economical and was perfect for our needs.

“not impressed”

Rooms were ok if you were just looking for a place to sleep. TV was very old. Nighttime frontdesk was great! Daytime frontdesk was terrible! Work order was put in Friday night to fix the TV and never got done. Stayed 2 days! And do let me clarify that the "game console" that the website is refering to would be the remote (not sure how that would be a game console) for you to BUY games from the pay sites (which would have been nice if we had gotten them). Said they had portable cribs. They didn't. I guess you get what you pay for. Will pay a little more next time just to get....well more.

“Impressed”

It was very convenient for the Joyce Meyer Conference. Very close and easy access. You get what you pay for. It was worth what we paid. It was clean enough.

What to pack

you will need to take you hair dryer and iron, if necessary. Also, prepare to go out for breakfast. Walmart is close, about five miles away and shopping center.

“Good Value”

Pretty much a low end good value option. Just coffee is typical of this group. Clean, neat. Been there before and feel ok with it.

Area recommendations

No preferences at all. It is strictly a matter of price and proximity. Hardly ever spend any time in accommodations at all: a place to get on line, sleep, and maybe do a bit of tv.

“California”

Compared to price, it was ok but not recommend to others. The hotel was not clean because there was mosquito’s dead body on the bed sheet and a toilet was not that clean. Plus, the air was not clean either, smelled badly. Receptionist was good had good service. You have to buy drinking water at vending machine..

“Not impressed and will not return”

This Red Roof Inn does not provide the level of service or customer service even for the price. The front desk staff was efficient yet not friendly. I wasn't even informed of the location of the elevator; I found it when I requested a change in my room. The housekeeping staff was inconsistent in servicing the room during my six day stay (due to a family member's death.) The lock on my door did not operate properly; I ended up putting a chair against the door at night to make sure it did not come open, rather than speak with the desk staff again. Believe me, I will 'never' stay in another Red Roof Inn! I will pay extra to stay in another hotel when I visit Durham. Saturday night became a night of doors slamming and constant conversations. The occupant who had the room next to mine was talking when I went to sleep on Saturday night and still on the phone when I woke up early Sunday morning! I said a special prayer before I walked out my door to check out early Sunday morning at 5:00am ; people were still coming to check in and some were hanging in the parking lot. The Inn had a sign on the office door directing people to a 'side window' to check in. Hopefully, the family I saw earlier with young children were not subjected to the chaos.

“Not impressed.”

The staff there was bad. No point getting into the details, just plain disinterested and bordering on rude. The room even though clean had broken mattresses. It was a noisy environment with loud guests around even after 1am, which I guess is not the hotels fault.
