Great Hotel - Location - Staff - AmenitiesPosted Dec 31, 2013
Pros: Really liked the room layouts, lots of space AND they offer true interconnecting rooms!
Cons: Exercise room needs some improvement and attention. Pet policy needs enforcement.
Location: Plenty of shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
Rented a total of four rooms (two via Expedia). The hotel is fairly new so rated "pleasing" instead of "excellent" because it seems a bit worn to be so new. The staff members are OUTSTANDING from arrival welcome, to breakfast, to responding to requests to departure farewell. Hotel is pet friendly - ok, but told us (pet allergies) that pet stays are confined to 1st floor. The hotel needs to enforce this policy or don't advertise as such if the policy does not exist. "SPA" and exercise room need a makeover. All the machines are pretty worn and there are few of them. This area of the hotel does not get a great deal of attention. Would consider staying again in the future.

Excellent choice for familiesPosted Apr 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
Beautiful hotel. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, TV was a little small, but a large screen is a short walk away in the lobby. We will definitely stay again when we visit the area.

Wonderful timePosted Apr 18, 2013
Pros: Everything it was clean. comfortable and the staff were amazing.
Location: It was perfect. easy to access and close to the UNC-Cancer Hospital.
This was a wonderful place. My husband has cancer and is on a special diet when getting ready for test. We were able to cook and had plenty of room, and it was so clean.

We were in Chapel Hill visiting our daughter at UNC. We hosted two other daughters for 5 nights and had 5 college friends in our 1 bedroom studio for Easter Sunday brunch. It worked just fine with a little assistance. We thought we had a full oven in the kitchen but found out that only two bedrooms have this and these were already booked. The manager was so gracious that she baked our ham and rolls for us in the kitchen to solve our problem. The housekeeping staff went out of their way and made our stay so easy. Next time we will book a two bedroom if available. The breakfast was included and very generous with good coffee, real Quaker oatmeal, nice selection of fruit and so forth. We did not eat hot items. Very clean with a huge lobby and sitting areas plus plenty of tables inside and on patio. We would choose this again and found it to be a great location near fantastic grocery stores, shopping and easy access to campus. The only problem was the sofa bed which was so uncomfortable that our girls slept on the floor part of the night. The cot was comfortable and wide and I think two shared this one night. Overall we had a fantastic stay and used the kitchen to cook each day. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and a high end food delicacy place is super close called Southern Seasons. We also did our laundry in their clean guest laundry inside the building in a pleasant location. Thumbs up!

great place to stay with petsPosted Mar 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was impressed by the friendly service and the staff's accessibility. Everything about the stay was simple, easy, and comfortable. The included breakfast was fine. We were visiting as child at UNC, and bringing our pets along was a last-minute necessity. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked (but no oven) and even the studio room slept 3 plus 2 big dogs in comfort.

Ease of use good.Posted Feb 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed while we were touring colleges, it was a very convenient spot even if you couldn't walk to things from it. It's nice to have a bit more room than a typical hotel room. The room was clean, would have liked better pillows, but they certainly weren't bad. They also provided Paul Mitchell products, which are nicer than many moderately priced hotels.
