Regal with Southern Charm

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Excellent Stay in all areas! The room decor is calming and displays the history of University of North Carolina in an artistic way. The food is absolutely delicious; wish we knew that from the beginning of our stay. We would have eaten all our meals there. We will definitely come back.

Lovely hotel right next to UNC campus

Posted Mar 31, 2015
This hotel has the feeling of an inn. It's beautifully decorated, with lovely carpets, flowers, chintz furniture, etc. The rooms are very nice (although the bathrooms are a bit small) and clean, and the bed linens are incredibly soft and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, and there is a very nice dining room with a breakfast buffet as well as dining a la carte. There is ample parking, although they charge an overnight fee. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Chapel Hill.

Lovely Hotel with Lots of History

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: Typical Southern charm.
Very convenient to UNC and downtown Chapel Hill. They are rightfully proud of their history. If you're visiting UNC, you can't do better.

Lovely hotel close to UNC and Franklin St.

Posted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Location. Comfort. Pleasant surroundings. Convenient access to UNC and Franklin Street.
If you cannot get a room here, you should still consider visiting the hotel. The lobby is elegant and the corridors are decorated with 90 years of artifacts, mostly photos, from the hotel's long association with Carolina. Very nice.

Beautiful and Historic

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: It's a very grand, lovely place to be.
Cons: One thing they should mention that I did not know was the shuttle service to the hospital. Knowing that would have helped me.
Location: Not applicable for me.
This is a beautiful hotel and the history is very interesting. It's so nice to see all the pictures of the famous people associated with UNC. Staff were helpful and gracious. It's a very grand place and I can imagine how wonderful a wedding there would be.
