Perfect for a relaxing get awayPosted Sep 24, 2012
Pros: Food and friendly staff
Cons: wi-fi signal was weak and an internet connection in the room was expensive.
Location: On a hillside in the mountains. Its a 3 minute walk into the main high street, but bear in mind its on a mountain, so its a bit steep.
This was one of the best hotels we had ever stayed in. Our German was rather limited but the staff were still so helpful and understanding. We had a junior suite at the end of the hotel so it had lots of windows and was bright and airy. The bed was amazingly comfortable although having 2 single duvets was a bit weird, but its just the local way. The food was fantastic and really good value and the hotel itself is in a very picturesque mountain valley location.

A good stay all in allPosted Sep 7, 2012
Pros: Lovely junior suite, good breakfasts, excellent location
Cons: Buffet meals not always brilliant and no a la carte alternative. Occasionally difficult to get acknowledgement/service from restaurant staff
A lovely short-term stop-over for us to enjoy local tourist attractions. Good facilities for longer-term family holidays.

Beautiful hotel. Location amazing.Posted Jul 4, 2012
Pros: The grounds and view.
Cons: No air conditioning
Location: Ramsau is close to Berchestgaden but away from all the crowds with equally beautiful views.
The grounds of this hotel are beautiful. The views are amazing. The breakfast is wonderful. The staff are quintessentially German. Sheep are grazing on the hill off the balcony while you eat dinner and watch the moon rise over the mountains and listen to the blue colored river flow by. BUT, there is no air conditioning. SO, it it is summer, consider that. We asked for a fan, but they had no more. It is absolutely beautiful in the area. If it is under 75 degrees, stay here! :)

Will go back as soon as possible!Posted Aug 23, 2010
Lovely hotel in stunning location. We stayed in one of their junior suites and were very pleased with both the room and the view. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel owners obviously run a very efficient team. It was our first wedding anniversary whilst there, and my husband asked to have a champagne breakfast and a dozen roses delivered to our room. The hotel arranged the flowers and kept it a secret from me until the morning! The food was also excellent - everything you could want for breakfast, and complimentary afternoon tea if required. We only ate in the restaurant twice in the evenings but both times were very impressed. Not cheap but well worth the money. We would love to go back again!
