“Happy from Utah!”

We have decided that the next time we vacation we will try to find an AmericInn. It was fabulous. Our 3 kids loved the pool area with the indoor slide! We ended all our long tourist days with a soak in the pool. The breakfasts were delicious and the hotel was conveniently located in Rapid City. We really enjoyed our stay!

“Americinn in Rapid City, SD”

After a terrible experience at the Motel6 in Sioux Falls... I was very weary about another night in a "budget" motel... BUT I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the Americinn in Rapid City, SD... even my 16 year old daughter (who is very picky) liked it... the room was excellent... the breakfast was great... the entire facility was clean... the staff was very friendly... we intend to go back with the entire family next summer for a full blown family vacation based in Rapid City... very good location... close to anything and everything (even Walmart down the street)... Rushmore Mall just blocks away... great eating places close... easy access to I-90... easy access to Mt. Rushmore and attractions to the south and west of Rapid City... traffic was not bad at all... just, all in all, a great experience... THANKS!!!

“Not a resort, but it worked.”

I read the word "resort" in the description of the hotel so I chose it. It had a waterslide but nothing close to what I would consider a resort. But the room was decent and we had a nice stay...and breakfast was even not bad.

“Good choice for Black Hills vacation”

The hotel was clean and huge. We enjoyed the great breakfast although after 4 days we got tired of the same items. It was located near but not next to interstate 90 so was quiet. It has a nice pool and laundry room which was important to us. It was centerally located so we were able to visit many of the places we went to see from this hotel. It was close to lots of restaurants, a Target and Wal-Mart, and a couple shopping centers were near by. I would stay there again.

“Insect Nightmare!”

There were crickets everywhere! In the hotel room as well as the pool and hallway. One of the rooms next to us flooded and the hallways smelled musty. The pool was TINY an the waterslide was not impressive. Due to a cricket infestation, my daughter refused to go swimming. The pool was very salty. It was a good location and the breakfast was delicious. They had breakfast until 10 am and if you got there at 9:45 am they were still stocked. Don't think I would return.

“Very impressed”

Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledeable of the surrounding areas. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool with water slide was a huge bonus especially if you have kids . My only complaints were the hotel is a little farther then I would have liked from the local attractions up in the Black Hills and I thought the room rates were a little high for the weekened we stayed there. With that said I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself again.
