There was coffee grounds in the coffee maker from the previous occupant, otherwise it was clean and pleasant. Very quiet.

Pros: Location.
Cons: See above.
Location: It is a good location .... Freeway access to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood & Sturgis. Close to restaurants, stores & fast food.
Room did not look like posted pictures. The sink was immediately to the right as you opened the entry door, had a desk which made it cramped, moldy odor in bathroom (curtain), and the rug felt dirty! The free breakfast was mediocre.

Just OK

Pros: Parking was nice; nice to have a mini frig and microwave in the room; pool area looked nice; staff was very nice.
Cons: Pet-friendly rooms should be different than non-pet traveler rooms. Our room reeked of wet dog.
Location: Great location off the interstate. Good restaurant choices near by.
This was our overnight stay while traveling back to Iowa. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I do not feel we got the best hotel for the price we paid, therefore I cannot recommend it to others. The room was small and really smelled of wet dog. I appreciate the fact that more hotels allow pets, I'm all for it. However, rooms should be segregated for pet and non-pet guests. Like the old smoking versus non-smoking days. The bed was hard, not my personal favorite. Overall it was pretty clean. The breakfast was okay, typical for a hotel breakfast. The pool area looked really nice, however we did not use it during our stay. Great parking if you are pulling a trailer, boat or an RV.

Could have been nicer.

Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: When renovation time comes enlarge what I mentioned above.
Location: Location was good. We used to live in Rapid and was there for a funeral.
The bathroom area is small. The sink counter space is small. A little overpriced for a room not as good as most Super 8s.

Pros: Clean, no musty odors or smells. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast selections could vary a little more. Stayed 4 nights and selections didn't vary much at all.
Went to visit Mt Rushmore, etc and the location was great. Rooms were nice and clean. Would stay again.

Bad place to stay

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: level it and start over
I booked this place on line, when i got there the gal at the front desk was i think crabby because i booked on line and told me when you book on line you automatic get a smoking room,i have stayed a lot of places and never seen a smoking section, she would not even check for another available room. It was in a section with steel doors on both ends like a prison, the room smelled bad,the carpet was stained and full of cigarette burns, furniture was wore out and you had to wear shoes so your feet wouldnt stick to the floor, was not a cheap room and was not a happy night, would not recommend this place to anyone.
