“Will go back”

For the price we paid, we definitely got a great deal. The one and only small dislike that i had was that the light in the bathroom does not illuminate the bathtub/shower very well.

I came to Rapid City to celebrate my birthday & go sight seeing in the area. I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff is unbelievably knowledgeable & friendly. The room comfortable and met my needs. And talk about convenience, you are close to downtown, the interstate, and it's easy to get to the tourist spots from there. Yes, it is across the street from a high school, but who cares most tourists like myself are either asleep when there or out TOURING! :) I can't compliment the staff enough for their hospitality. I could hear when guests doors closed but that again was not a issue for me as I was hardly in the hotel room.

“Alright”

This hotel was alright for the price definitely not even close to a 5-star rating. The fan in the bathroom was not working and the room kind of a had a musty type smell as well as when the cool air fan was turned to the warm heat on a bit of a chilly night it stunk up the room terribly. Was in a bad need of cleaning. Despite the problems there was a nice continental breakfast and the hotel was nice and quiet with a pool and spa area. Also very friendly people working there because of the positives I would recommend.

“Rapid City's gem”

I found Howard Johnsons to be very reasonably priced, convenient to all the places we visited, clean, and very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. I always appreciate having a fridge in the room. They had an excellent continental breakfast that got us off to a good start each day. The front desk staff members were very courteous and helpful ... and ultimately, it's really the hotel staff members that end up making the big difference in how we felt about our stay. The hotel staff was exceptional.

“Would stay again if in the area”

Good sized room. Good breakfast bar, but got a little crowded at times. Good pool. Took advantage of "Happy Hour." Good access to freeway and surrounding sites.

“Great deal”

Good hotel, could be a little better location, but it was quiet now, not sure when school starts because it's across from a high school. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Beds were comfortable, but pillows a little lumpy. Very clean and nice continental breakfast. Would stay here again if we return to Rapid City.

“Good Choice”

Very convenient to major Rapid City streets & highways. Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant. Room was large and comfortable. The one thing you need to be aware of is that this hotel is on the "North" side which is considered by some to be undesirable. We had no problems what so ever, and would stay there again.

“HoJo in Rapid City”

This hotel met all of our expectations. The staff was courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was great and convenient to all the attractions in and around Rapid City. We were very pleased during our one week stay. We usually stay in one hotel for a couple of days, then move on, but this year we decided to stay in one place all week and drive to other locations. We were very delighted that this was such a good hotel, and we felt like we were coming home every evening when we finished seeing the sights. I only have one negative to speak of. We were on the top floor, and the AC units were must have been located on the roof, so we heard them at night. But that was not the fault of the staff. Great Job HoJo!
