“We'd go back again”

Our rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The pool was fantastic and we had it to ourselves most nights. Breakfast was great - the best waffles we've had in a long time and the staff was friendly!

“HJ Rapid City, SD”

Very nice facility with excercise room, pool, hot tubs, excellent breakfast selection, centrally located to shopping, sightseeing, and eating locations. Our room was clean and spacious with all the amenities a traveler could ask for. Highly recommend it if you are going that way! 1/2 hour from Mt Rushmore..10 minutes from Rushmore Mall and Golden Corral Buffet restaurant.

“Clean hotel with friendly staff”

The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast menu has sufficient variety. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

“Best of 10”

We were on a 10 day vacation - this was the best accommodation during our trip. Convenient location near downtown. Popcorn and drinks in the evening. Very helpful staff. Pleased as punch!!!

“I'll be happy to use it again.”

I got a great deal for the service. Everything is clean and new in my room. The pool is a bit small but good as being indoor and open early. Staff is nice. Lots of guests there on the day I stayed. Good thing I go down for breakfast early. They didn't run out of food but seats.

“good place to stay”

We only needed a room for one night but this is also a good place to stay for a longer time. The downtown location is not in a tourist area but is safe and close to routes to points of interest. The Howard Johnson chain usually does not have the best inns, but if they addd more locations like this one we will change our mind.

“Great hotel, in a convenient location”

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2011, and it exceeded our expectations. The room we had was very quiet (we had requested a quiet room), and the location was very convenient (assuming you have a vehicle). The continental breakfast was as expected, and the staff did a great job at maintaining the stock, and keeping the area clean and tidy. We experienced nothing negative, and would happily return. It was also very good value.
