Clean, comfortable, and dog friendly.Posted Jan 31, 2014
Clean, comfortable, and dog friendly. We stayed at the LaQuinta next door a few weeks before while passing through and found the Sleep Inn to be much more quiet and pleasant--largely because it lacks a waterpark. If you are an adult traveling with a pet and want a comfortable, clean place to stay for a reasonable rate in Rapid City, this is it.

Comfy beds great breakfast close to Airport 15 minPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
For those travelling to Rapid City. I recommend you hire a car if you want to see the surrounds. Very limited public transport in Rapid City. We travelled to Keystone and Hill City and had to get a taxi as there is no public transport. The day bus tour to Mount Rushmore, the Needle Highway and Crazy Horse was informative and would recommend it. Bruce Sansome. Australia

Friendly staff on receptionPosted Sep 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The only drawback for this hotel was that I had a noisy family and yapping dog next to me, but luckily it didn't last long! Great location for moving on the next morning

Very well located to surrounding AttractionsPosted Sep 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was above what we expected. The employees were very informative and friendly. They went above and beyond to allow us to feel welcome. Enjoyed our stay very much and will stay there the next time we are in Rapid city.

This hotel was excellent, the beds were so comfortable ~ not the typical rock beds you usually find in hotels. The staff so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was served for 3 hours each day and was kept well stocked the entire time. The ease for getting to all local attractions from this hotel was excellent. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip out west...

Great Hotel for FamilyPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, food and location.
Location: Terrific and very centered to all touring locations.
The hotel and personnel were excellent. I recently filled out a survey but was asked to revise. No revisions needed to be made as all was fantastic. I enjoyed the cleanliness and quietness of the hotel and the food at breakfast was great as well as the selection. Staff and workers were all pleasant and very polite and helpful.

Great hotel with great facilitiesPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: Excellent facilities, great pool. Hot breakfast eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal etc. Good hot tub
Cons: Make sure lift is working all the time (we were told that we were lucky it had been out for a week)
Location: Near to Interstate. Many restaurants within two intersections (2 miles). Good for Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse monument etc.
This was our hotel to go and see Mount Rushmore. It was on the edge of Rapid City and the link down to Mount Rushmore was very easy. The hotel is very easy to find off the Interstate with McDonalds easy to spot as you drive (it's next door but not obtrusive). The road out was being dug up but that was not the hotel's fault. The staff were all extremely helpful and the breakfast(hot) was continually refilled when anything started to run out. The room was comfortable and had both a fridge and microwave. The pool, although small, was good and the hot tub was very relaxing. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation stopping here again. The only disappointment on this trip was Deadwood(enough said).

Good place to stay for the moneyPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: The beds are comfortable, the rooms are quiet, and the pool area is nice.
Cons: I would recommend either adding to the breakfast area, or setting up a different seating arrangement. There is not a enough room for a lot of people
Location: It's Rapid City! There is TONS of stuff to do!
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and we enjoy it. The rooms are nice, the facility is clean, and the staff are very courteous.

Lovely hotel. Such a nice stay!Posted Sep 22, 2013
Pros: Very nice room and very pleasant staff.
Cons: I can't think of a thing.
Location: Not-midtown, but getting to major highways was no problem. Right across the street is The Dakota Steak House--Yum!
I booked this hotel expecting nothing more than the basics, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was attractive, clean and comfortable. I appreciated how quiet our room was at night. We even returned one day to find a piece of "homemade" fudge on our dresser with a note saying Sleep Inn hoped we were enjoying our stay. When I wanted to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches so we could picnic in the Black Hills the breakfast "crew" provided plastic wrap to keep them fresh. I have paid more for hotels that were not nearly as nice. Would certainly recommend.
