“Strange but Wonderful”

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-kept. The staff was friendly and responsive. The complimentary breakfast area was well organized and well serviced so that nothing was ever lacking even though there were quite a few guests in the room at the hour when we ate breakfast. Very easy [walking distance]access to a number of eatimg places. The architecture is a bit strange as the facility is housed in two buildings on two levels. Access from the office to the lower building is via a very short walkway that enters the lower building between the second and third floors. The stairways are not particularly convenient for guests who have rooms on the third floor as they have to enter and descend half a flight to the second floor and then then climb a second stairway back to the third floor. This is a little clumsy if you have several pieces of luggage as we did. Still, all in all it is a good value for the money.

“Great Location”

This motel was recently updated. The room was clean and nice. It is about 25 miles from Mt. Rushmore. Great location. There are pleanty of places to eat in the area. Highly recommend.

“Nice quiet stay”

Nice quiet hotel. I little difficult to find the registration office at first, and the entrance/exits were sharp enough to drag the car's bumper, but otherwise a clean, quiet hotel, with helpful staff, and good wireless internet.

“Friendly and Helpful”

A little more selection for breakfast food would be nice. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking (even large vehicles) was plentiful!

“Will stay again if ever in SD”

It was very close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. The breakfast was nothing to write home about but it was enough to get you started on your day.

“Worth my money”

Town edge location. Pretty good for this price. For people who don't want to pay for swimming pool and gymroom, this one is ok.

“comfortable and clean”

I was there for only one night and it was comfortable and clean. I thought it was closer to Mt. Rushmore but it worked out.

“A fine place to stay on a reasonable budget.”

Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms are OK. Our sink leaked from the handle sometimes, but functioned well enough. Room was small and A/C a bit noisy. Parking lot is very small. Some spots were so close to the building that we had to make 2 or 3 point turns. Breakfast was decent. No bagels, but they had two waffle makers. McDonalds is just across the street. Even though it's a further drive to Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer Park, etc. The extra money we spent on gas was eclipsed three fold by the price savings on the hotel. All in all a fine place to sleep in between adventures around the Black Hills.

“Comfortable”

We stayed in the second building and the steps were a bit steep getting in the door, but manageable. The room was clean and fit our needs for the night. It was very accessable to getting on and off the road to Mt. Rushmore. There is a McDonalds next door that is very fancy for that chain. Had no complaints, fast in and fast out. Price was very reasonable. We would stay again.
