Pros: Price
Cons: Would be nice to have a mini-fridge
Currently has significant road construction in the area but was otherwise convenient to the local attractions.

okay hotel but kind of rundown

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: the helpful staff
Cons: fix the outdoor stairs, they seemed in need of repair for a long time. And also, clean the carpets and vacuum more often.
The staff was very nice and quite helpful. However the hotel was in dire need of updating such as broken down wood steps to the back door and side door. The hall carpets were not well vacuumed and their was a partial candy wrapper on the floor near the trash can in my room. It did not seem the cleanest, other than the dining area which was very clean.

Nice motel only they didn't have an elevator wasn't informed about this until we had checked in. We were on the third floor! The good thing is it was only 22 steps.

Bugs, mold, bad smell

Posted Jul 21, 2015
We had to switch rooms because of the air conditioning not working and bad smell in the first room. The second room they gave us had bugs crawling around. When we got ice from the machine, we found mold. We will never stay at another Super 8.

Good location

The hotel was fine. The room was clean. Bathroom was odd. Blue tub and toilet. Just weird little things like no towel rack, no hooks for hanging anything, electrical outlets were not near the sink. The water in the shower never did get hot and was no pressure at all. But it was clean. The morning breakfast is very limited. toast, mini donuts, cereal, bananas, packaged oatmeal and frozen waffles.

Not happy with our stay.

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: That we had only booked for two nights. The breakfast was ok but the area was not kept clean.
Cons: Everything needs to be improved.
Location: The location was good for our purpose. We were there for a family gathering.
The condition of the motel is poor. Needs a lot of updates. Needs a good cleaning. You could see out the wall by the air conditioner. We would not have stayed there had we seen the rooms before we booked. We will probably not book ahead again.

Pros: not enough to waste this space
Cons: Secure WIFI, clean smelling towels, more space to move in a room. More electrical outlets in the room. Real fresh brewed coffee.
Location: Rapid City has many things to see and do and we did have a wonderful dinner downtown..
Booked the room online at the last minute, very expensive for what we received at the hotel, almost 200.00 for a night. Parking was difficult due to construction going on at the hotel, old sinks took up 2 spots, tore up road way a couple more. Our room was very cramped, to much furniture in such a small space, and the bathroom was very tight. The towels smelled liked like the chemicals they use in the fracking industry, not nice after a long day of driving with the idea of getting a good shower. So, after a disappointing shower, I wanted to get some ice for our room, no ice bucket or container? Ok, went to the kitchen area and there was hardly enough ice for a couple cold beverages. They had WIFI but only an open connection which I choose not to use. The one outlet in our room was gang plugged with cords, not able to charge our phones... Breakfast the next morning was terrible, tried the machine made coffee was worse than the machine made coffee in our room. Can't you folks brew real coffee? Milk spilled over the breakfast area, simply decided to pack it up and hit the road. Staff was friendly and the room did have hot water which isn't enough to ever give this hotel another shot....

Close to places of interest

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: The hotel that I stayed at just had to fix small things like a leaking bath faucet and small items for looks on the building.
Location: Over there you can fish, take a tour to mount rushmore, walk on trails, go to parks, eat at nice restaurants.
This place was very close to the places that interested me. It is close to restaurants, parks, bus and trolley pick up points.
