Facilities were good but

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Pool, resort activities, proximity to beach.
Cons: Room cleanliness (ours has a bad odour). New mattresses!!!
The facilities were good and staff were quite attentive but our room had a terrible odour that wouldn't go away and the bed was very very uncomfortable. Activities run by the hotel were fun and the beach is nice but don't forget your reef shoes!!

Great Garden Villa

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Garden villa, breakfast, scenery and beach
Cons: Customer service especially on reception, felt very deflated when we arrived to be met by a grumpy, sour man no hello or welcome from Mr Happy!
Location: Great snorkelling and beach, even better 6km down the road opposite dive centre. Local bar cheap. Many eating places close by prices same as NZ
Villa was great, very clean and roomy - clean towels daily and complete clean every three days - we stayed 11 nights. Tropical breakfast was enjoyable and other meals from menu were excellent. Enjoyed happy hour cocktails, scenery from resort was great and one of the better snorkelling areas - reef shoes a must.

Right on the beach

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Stayed here over xmas newyear period loved the layout out of the bar/restaurant dining area right on the beach. Enjoyed the snorkelling and fish feeding . Not realy a beach for swimming due to big rock and coral. We werent too fussed about our room. Went to book for the pub crawl but was cancelled !. Really enjoyed our stay here.. would suit all.

Hotel average

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: good location
Cons: The hotel was tired & the staff were disinterested & not very helpful
Location: Overall, the Cook Islands are not much bang for big bucks... some pretty snorkelling but the huge prices of food makes it a very expensive holiday
Reasonable low budget place... restaurant over priced for very average food..

Bang for your buck

For what you pay, you get a pretty good experience. For the chilled traveller who doesn't need all the bells and whistles this place is cool, the food is mint and fulling, and everyone is nice.

Air con that doesn't.

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: happy hour
Cons: Maintenence and staff friendlyness. Some where lovely and cheery but others where almost surly.
Location: Close to town and right on the beach
The acu made a lot of noise but thats about all. My brother and wife had a nice cool room but ours along with another couple on the trip sweltered. A nice resort once I'm sure but getting a bit tatty round the edges now.

Budget hotel close to the beach.

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: I liked the entertainment.
Cons: The variety of food served for breakfast was limited. It would be nice to have at least once during the stay eggs or sausages.
Location: Thehotel was conveniently located close to the beach, the airport and the town.
Overall I have had a good holiday in Rarotonga. The island is beautiful. Improving conditions of side of the main road in town and cleaning off rubbish along the main road would improve the image of the island even more.

I have stayed their before

Posted Dec 3, 2014
Pros: Location close to town and lots of inhouse activities
Cons: Try and get rid of the the ants and cockroaches? Problems with the swipe card(numerous times)
Location: Play golf at the 9 hole course Walking the local pathways Visit Wigmores
The most pleasing aspect I find is their house maids. Very friendly and always accomadating. Also needed a late check out and reception was very helpful
