“Good but not great”

This hotel was clean and well maintained but there was nothing outstanding about it. There were two resturants within a block including a Denny's.

“Excellent place to stay”

Its close to dining and its a great place to stay. This is the second time we stayed here.

“Clean, comfortable, quiet-I would stay again.”

I found the employees friendly and helpful. The accomodations were satisfactory. I would be happy to stay here again.

“Mostly awesome”

Clean, friendly hotel right off the interstate. Our toilet wouldn't flush well, but that's about the only negative. The neighborhood isn't great, but it seemed safe enough. Our daughter slept in a little bay window that had a cushion and thought it was a lot more fun than a sleeping bag on the floor. Nice breakfast selection too.

The best parts of the city are next to the hotel....drove around a lot of impoverished neighborhoods away from the hotel

“Good in Raton, NM”

Overall, the hotel and our room were clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, fairly close to the freeway and restaurants. We found the staff to be pleasant. Although we'd requested a king size bed when making our booking, a queen size bed was all that was available (and we did not arrive late!)--and that took the some of the shine off the experience.

Area recommendations
It's a smallish town near the New Mexico/Colorado border. I'm not aware of any areas that should be avoided.

“Great Hotel for Raton, NM”

Great hotel, great location. Breakfast was adequate. Staff was very pleasant, courteous and helpful. Hotel was new and clean.

“Can't wait to go back”

The hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast the next morning (coffee,juice cereal,waffles and such). Beds were very comfortable. Only downfall was if you have an upstairs room ,you have to carry all of your stuff up 16 stairs as there is no elevator. There are restaurants within walking distance.

“Very nice hotel”

This hotel is clean and very comfortable. It's location is very convenient and just off the expressway. The hotel staff were all very nice and accommodating. We were on a very fast trip from Texas to Colorado so we only got to stay for about 8 hours. I would have enjoyed staying longer at this relaxing hotel.

Area recommendations
I didn't see much of Raton, NM because we had such a fast trip and a short stay at the hotel but there is an Arby's and a Sonic in the area of the hotel which made feeding hungry teenagers a lot more affordable!

“Great Hotel”

This is a great hotel. I travel a lot with my job and have never stayed at a microtel, but was pleasantly suprised. The room was spacious, clean and reasonably priced. I definately will stay here again if I am in Raton with work.
