Al Battistero, B&B - location and comfortable roomPosted Sep 15, 2014
We were originally booked at the A Casa di Paola, but on our arrival, were moved to a sister location just down the street, Al Battistero B&B. The location was great - a few blocks walk from the train station and a couple of blocks from the main shopping/restaurant areas. The B&B was well appointed and and was very clean with updated features. Our room, #3, was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice, although it only had a shower, no tub. The room was situated next to the dining area, so it was slightly noisy. The kitchen was stocked with many breakfast items and a wide variety of beverages, and we had access to all of it throughout the day. We left very early each morning, so were not able take advantage of a prepared breakfast. Our week-long stay was very comfortable, and we would recommend this B&B to others.

Very handy for city centre but parking tricky. Staff were very helpful in offering solutions and friendly. Atmosphere is very bohemian but that adds to charm. Great restaurant nearby No 42

A gem of a place in RavennaPosted May 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
Casa di Paola is beautifully individual and is your home from home as guests can freely use the kitchen, the bicycles, sit in the large living room or the terrace drinking the free refreshments from the well stocked fridge. The owner Carlo seems to genuinely care for his guests, making time to chat to them over breakfast. I enjoyed chatting to other guests round the communal table. I occupied a wonderfully designed mansard room which is spotlessly clean and large with its own bathroom. Fast free WiFi is a big plus. This B&B is a stone's throw from restaurants & bars, and mins from all the big sights and 5 mins from the train station. I can definitely recommend.

Wonderful b&b in RavennaPosted Sep 27, 2013
Open the huge doors and you are inside a palazzo with a fabulous eclectic collection of art and antiques, a grand staircase, terrace, contemporary bathroom, comfortable bed and a warm and generous welcome. The breakfast is delicious too. Amd outside is fabulous Ravenna.

B & B in the heart of RavennaPosted Jun 26, 2013
Pros: Location and very nice hosts.
We had a very nice room and breakfast was excellent. Since we were spending only one night in Ravenna, we were looking for centrally located lodging to make the best out of the limited time we had to visit the city. For us, this turned out to be a very good choice.

Everything stunning & wonderful but breakfast?Posted May 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The large high ceilinged rooms, spacious public spaces, terrace, aperitifs, and bicycles in the courtyard plus welcoming warmth of host made our stay a memorable experience. But the breakfast fare--boxed pastries & terrible white bread in particular--and overcrowded table put a real damper on our mornings. Host should set and serve at second table in separate room to allow guests to spread out if they want to.

Stunning! Loved it!Posted Aug 1, 2012
Absolutely lovely, gorgeous accommodation, spacious beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast and terrific hospitable host. Great location, sensational little cafe down the road. The family favorite for accommodation on our 4 week trip. Ravenna was a charming town and close to the beach on a really hot day. Loved it all.

I really liked this Bed and Breakfast. It had the feeling of a home rather than a hotel. Breakfast was served around one long table which encourages everyone to talk to one another. So a really relaxed and freindly feel to the place. This was really near the centre of town and all the sites within easy walking distance. Rooms were immaculate , and shower good and hot. I loved this place and really recommend it - unless you are not able to climb stairs easily, as it is mostly on the 2nd floor and there is no lift.

Excellent!Posted Jun 3, 2011 on Hotels.com
A Casa di Paola Suite B&B is an excellent place to stay. It is the perfect center of town location, within walking distance to nearly everything of interest. The place is filled with interesting art, antiques and books and guests have access to the entire house including the kitchen. Charlie, one of the owners and Shawna, the manager, were wonderful and so very helpful. The breakfast was standard, but served in nice settings either in or outdoors.
