First time to Ravenna. The hotel is about a block from the train station and close to all the shopping/restaurant areas. Nice place and excellent prices for a hotel of this caliber, especially compared to Milan and Florence.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, and wonderful breakfast. Right across from the train station, and an easy walk to all the mosaics.

Nothing to complain aboutPosted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The NH Ravenna doesn't look like much from the outside, but it offered everything we needed for two very restful nights. The decor is rather plain, but has nice mosaic and colored glass details in keeping with the famous mosaics of the area. Our room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, we enjoyed an extensive breakfast buffet each morning. The location was great, convenient to the train station and within walking distance of the ancient church sites we had come to see. Would definitely go back.

Great!Posted May 29, 2014
The hotel is in great location (although everything is near in Ravenna). The room was big and pretty and we really enjoyed our stay

Good locationPosted May 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were touring Italy with our 19 month old daughter, our room was very small and having the crib meant limited room for the suitcases. I think that the hotel could be a little more candid about parking. The hotel's own parking is free but this consists of a handful of spaces along the yellow lines directly outside the hotel on the road. The small car park opposite is a public pay car park and is very busy even on a Sunday when we visited. Nevertheless, the hotel is ideally located for central Ravenna a short walk away and a short drive away from the Beach at Marina di Ravenna,

Awesome location, right by the train stationPosted Apr 14, 2014
Great location, easy to find right off the train station, especially since we were getting in late at night. Hotel staff were very pleasant, place has plenty of space. Rooms were inexpensive, especially given the size. Right by all the sights in Ravenna -- highly recommended!

Nice hotel well locatedPosted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: As above
Cons: Since there's some free parking it would be nice if there were a bit more, we managed to get in one time out of three attempts.
Location: The mosaics in Ravenna are fabulous and the reason to go. Most are within easy walking distance of the hotel. We found nice restaurants both nights
It's convenient, the how to get there directions worked, nice breakfast included in the price, reasonable price, wi-fi included too so well satisfied. Car parking a bit limited but there's a reasonably priced car park just around the corner.

Close to town centre & those wonerful MosaicsPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Convenient to Railway station, close to town centre and various historic sites.
The Hotel write-up states that the beds have "Memory foam" mattresses, however, the only memory that we had was that the matress was very hard. Having said that, it was clean & comfortable, with a good breakfast layout in the morning.

Decent location, poor night sleepPosted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a perfect location, conveniently located near the train station and a 10 minute walk to the small, historical center of the city. Actually, there are ruins and historical buildings closer to the hotel but the Basilica di Vitale is a 10 minute walk down the quaint and elegant "downtown". However, the hotel is in a main square which is quite noisy during the night and early morning. I visited during the winter and despite the mild temperatures, the hotel room was rather warm and dry. The thermostat didn't work so the air remained static and warm. Also, the beds are very firm and the decor is quite old, but that is to be expected in the older parts of the city. This would be a 3-star hotel in most European cities but for historical Ravenna, it is a 4-star.
