A piece of historyPosted Jan 5, 2015
You will be impressed by the period details of this hotel. The staff are very friendly, the room is comfortable, the parking garage is very easy to deal with. Some things are not up to a five star hotels standards, but you will not be dissapointed in the experience.

Pleasant SurprisePosted Dec 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
I very much enjoyed my brief (one night) stay while visiting with family for Christmas. The lobby, which is rich with classic architectural detail and well maintained, was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. My room was spacious and very clean with plenty of fresh towels and a large flat screen HDTV. I requested room service for breakfast. The menu of available choices was quite varied with everything from bacon and eggs to several healthier choice items all at very reasonable prices. My selection of an egg white omelette with spinach, mushrooms and cheddar with wheat toast was well prepared and honestly delicious. I recommend a stay at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel over any of the hotels in the surrounding suburbs of Reading.

Stay Overall ExcellentPosted Dec 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was great. Extremely helpful and accommodating. However, I would not recommend the restaurant. Food did not taste fresh prepared and was not presented to look appetizing.

Little gem in ReadingPosted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Loved the historical character and decor.
Cons: The exterior could use some improvement.
Location: Santander Arena and Center for the Performing Arts are in walking distance
My family was pleasantly surprised by the Victorian ambiance of the hotel interior. From the outside the hotel is quite plain. The added benefit is the attached parking garage. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive making our stay very comfortable. The hotel is 4 blocks from the Santander Arena making it really easy to walk to event and avoid the parking hassles. Definitely would recommend a stay at any time. The restaurant and pub area had decent reasonably priced food and drink. The hotel was packed with concert goers who filled the bar before and after the show. The staff timely served everyone so they could get to the event on time. This is not a place to be overlooked if you are in the Reading area.

Nice hotel in ReadingPosted Nov 21, 2014
The hotel is going through transition. There are changes occurring which have impacted the hotel. For example hairdryer was missing, delay in breakfast service. Complimentary coffee was available.
