Horrible beds!

Posted Jan 16, 2015
The hotel is older but not that bad. They really need to replace all the pillows though. They are extremely small (I've never seen a hotel with such small pillows) and lumpy. We were there for two nights and neither of us slept. I know there are not many options in Reading but this was really disappointing

Great trip to Reading

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Nothing we can think of.
Location: Heart of Wyomissing. Pa which is a stone's throw from all the outlets and shopper's havens.
Everyone at the Inn was a pleasure to deal with including the front desk personnel, room attendants, and restaurant wait people. In addition to very reasonable room rates they had complimentary hot chocolate (on the coldest day this winter), free use of a lobby computer and free full course breakfasts. The computer was especially useful as we were there house hunting. What more can you ask for? The rooms were very clean and well maintained during our two day stay. We'll be back for sure.

Nice hotel.

The hotel staff were very helpful. Rooms were nice. There is a restaurant in the hotel and the food was excellent. You got enough for two people.

Great for an overnight stay

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: This was clean and comfortable
Cons: All on one floor with long hallways
Location: It was great for what we needed and headed to the VF outlet in the morning.
Not too much to say. The place is older, but nice. The room have been updated recently. The heater was quiet, good for sleeping. The bathroom was clean and looked good. The was an extra sink just outside the bathroom, it came in handy when it was it for my wife and I to get ready. We were headed for a party. I would stay there again.

Nice place to stay

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: The king size but was extremely comfortable.
Cons: Update the bathroom and new carpet in the halls
Location: We stay because we wanted to do major Christmas shopping and the area is packed with places to shop.
The Inn itself is quite dated and the hall smelled old but the room was great. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom could use some updating but it was very clean and the room overall was very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Stacey, Your concerns about the bathrooms are being addressed at this very moment. By the end of the first quarter all of our bathrooms will be completely remodeled.

Horrible Bathroom Facilities

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: The banquet facilities were nice and the food was very good.
The water temperature could not be adjusted; either scorching hot or freezing cold. The fixtures are desperately needing to be upgraded. The sink stopper prevented the water from draining; also needs to be repaired.

We have never had issue with our shower water temperatures not being able to be adjusted. If there was a mechanical issue we do everything possible to fix this right away.

Well maintained older hotel

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: Especially the size of the rooms and closets.
Cons: Allowing all travelers to enjoy their buffet breakfast.
Location: It is centrally located in the Wyomissing area, near outlet shopping and close enough to anywhere you might need to go in Wyomissing or Reading.
I have stayed many, many times here and have found the beds comfortable and the size and appointments of the room very good.

Pleasant stay

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: The staff was pleasant. The room was clean spacious and very comfortable. It has a colonial look and charm but didn't seem out dated.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a refrigerator and microwave
Location: It’s in a good location close to popular restaurants, shopping and downtown Reading.
This is a very nice hotel. Breakfast was not included but they gave me a discount coupon when I checked in. The breakfast was very nice with made to order egg dishes and self-made waffles.

Excellent front desk staff

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff
Cons: a lot can be improved.
Location: We shopped at Vanity Fair.
check-In was very pleasant. We had a room on 2nd floor in East Wing. Rooms are old and outdated. No sound proofing between rooms or from outside noise. No water pressure for shower. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday. It was a sit yourself experience. The coffee cups were thimbles, basically two shots of coffee. They have an omelette station which was nice. Bacon on the buffet was old and chewy. Only two wait staff for the restaurant. Just seemed like the hotel has given up on itself. They had two weddings books so that must be where they get their profits.

Bx2 We thank you for staying with us and giving us your feedback. I am very proud of the entire staff I am privileged with work with, they do work very hard at pleasing all of our guests. I am sorry you were able to hear the music from the wedding in our ballroom, we were not aware of your concern. This is the first time I have heard that music can be heard from the ballroom since these two buildings are not connected. We do use 6 oz coffee cups in our restaurant and will provide pots of coffee for anyone who requests one. Our servers are there to wait on our guests but will certainly take care of any requests. I do apologize they didn't offer you that option.
