It was a nice resort in isolated island.Posted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: I like the attitude of the employees they are friendly and helpful. The deluxe room as we'll is really nice. We enjoyed so much is the speedboat.
Cons: The cleanliness of the surroundings coz a lot of dry leaves are on the ground, but still didn't ruin the place.
Location: It is isolated island so nothing to do but enjoy the place, anyway they have regular speed boat trip so anyone can go to the city.
We stayed 2nights in this resort and I must say my husband and I enjoyed our stay, we actually want to stay another 2night but they are fully booked so we decided to move to Meritus pelangi which really a good decision we made. Comparing the 2 resorts, Meritus is more beautiful, from room, fine beach and the well maintained garden, however it's bit expensive $100 more compare to the same room category in rebak. Rebak was great island resort and good value for money with spacious deluxe room. We enjoyed so much the speedboat travel to the island bcoz of that we decided to buy 1 as we are living infront of the sea,we think why we did not thought about it before and take advantage of our access on the beach, thanks to rebak giving that idea. All in all we will recommend rebak island resort to our friends and families.

Lovely stay, excellent servicePosted Feb 23, 2014
Stayed for 5 nights. Hotel is a little bit older but very neat and clean. Rooms are very big and we had an awesome sea view. Staff is always friendly and helpful, great service! There is a ferry going appr. every hour to the main land from where you can take a cab without any hustle. Only downside, the restaurant was a bit pricy. Overall we had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Hotel by the sea, good food and good staffPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Staff, Food, Ambience
Cons: The Check in Process can be made more organised. The guests can be tired, so an hour to check in is too long.
Location: Great place by the sea, lot of activities inside the property. Need to take ferry to go out to the main Langkawi Island, but not very convenient.
The first thing that caught our eyes, is the crystal sea green colored water while we took the speed boat from Langkasuka Port to Rebak Island. It seemed a bit messy and unorganised during check in, the whole process took more than an hour, but I wouldn't complain, as we were busy soaking in the atmosphere. The room had a full view of the Sea and was really comfortable. Be aware of "mozzies", got loads of them. The food in Senari restaurant was great, we tried local cuisine on the first night. The staff was very welcoming and warm. This is what I love about Taj- The people and their personal touch towards the guests. As this is on a different island, need to take ferry to transfer to mainland, so just be aware of the ferry timings (45-75mins interval). What amazed me was they arranged a special ferry for us to accomodate our early morning departure, complimentary!. Kudos to Mr. Mukherjee (GM) who has brought in his touch to this hotel as he had done in other Taj properties in India. Use to stay very often in a Taj property in India where he was the GM, nice person and great personal touch, which translated down to his employees. It was a good stay and would love to go back there. Cheers...

Great place to relax.Posted Jan 30, 2014
Pros: Nice relaxing place. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Cons: The boat schedule could have been a little more regular and finished mid evening, which limited the options for going out in town.
Location: The wharf is relatively central and the Taxis to Chenang Beach and the cable car weren't too expensive.
The hotel was very nice, albeit showing some signs of aging, but was still clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It was a great place to unwind after a few weeks bouncing around Europe. The kids really enjoyed the option of pool and beach.

Isolated island off LangkawiPosted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: The rooms are lovely and spcaious and most of them have a terrace which was important for us.
Cons: They resort is a training hotel for the raj brand. they should make this less apparent as this was not knowledge to us until we saw it for ourselves.
The island is good because it forces you to relax. The boat takes you to the main island every hour and stops at 19.45. In this respect it is hard to hop into town or have a different dinner that is not the hotels (as a private taxi boat is 220 dollars). The rooms are great and spacious room and that is a major bonus. They have used old sheets with staines (not dirty but just old) so they need to know when to throw things away. The staff are very eager however their english is very limited that you cannot explain yourself, the hotel with such an international name should provide this for their staff. The sea water is not the tropical water you seen in the pictures but it is not crowded which is a good thing. You have to get their early for the sun beds as the hotel is connected to port where boat owners can use the hotel facilities which makes the hotel a bit less exclusive then you think. Entertainment is one women singing old songs which is entertaining for one night but the rest of the week. And the last thing that bothered me was that all airplanes go over the island, one at least every hour (not at night of course) which is a bit of a mood killer. It is great value for money but they do make up for it by being the only bar, spa and restaurant on the island.

Amazing!Posted Dec 12, 2013
Pros: The location, the rooms, the super-friendly staff, the food. Pretty much everything.
We loved our stay at Rebak Island Resort and can't wait to go back! The view, the room, the service - everything was perfect. Our jaws dropped when we saw our room and the private balcony overlooking the water. The room was big, clean and very comfortable with a bathroom bigger than my bedroom at home! It's a small resort which means that everything is within strolling distance and no room is further than 100m from the water. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and I highly recommend the Malaysian buffet (they have a different theme each night). The staff were so friendly and the lovely gentleman who cleaned our room left a beautiful arrangement of flowers on our bed on our last night. The resort is on a small island separate from the main island of Langkawi but it's only a 10-15 minute boat trip and the boats go roughly every hour. Of the 5 days we were there though, we only spent one afternoon on the main island as we wanted to spend more time at the resort. All in all, one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Highly recommend.

A truly relaxed atmosphere.Posted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
If peace and relaxation away from all the hustle and bustle of busy resorts is what you seek then Rebak Island is the place to go. We stayed for 2 weeks in November and from the moment we arrived we were looked after by the genuinely caring staff and management of the hotel. Upon arrival at Lankawi airport you are met and taken on the 5-10 minute taxi journey to the hotels jetty for the 15 minute 'speed'boat transfer to the island where you are greeted by more friendly, smiling hotel staff and taken by golf buggy to reception - saving a walk which must be all of 100 metres! Reception is quick efficient and painless- a hot towel and welcome drink are most welcome. We particularly liked thefact that from leaving the Arrivals carousel we did not have to touch our luggage until it arrived in our room. We booked a seafront room which ticked all the boxes - spotlessly clean, with all the necessary amenities, huge by normal hotel standards with a massive comfortable bed and fantastic views from our verandah. Throughout our stay the genuinely caring staff and management could not do enough to ensure our comfort.
