“Great for couples”

It was a relaxing experience. The hotel suite was great , the staff was nice and helpful. The only thing that I missed was a coffee pot in the room for morning coffee.

“Nice Boutique Hotel”

The single king bed room was nice and clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom area large. and the decor modern. Of the four hotels in Long Branch this one had the best cost to rating factor, but compared to other US hotels I've stayed at (Seattle, Portland) it's overpriced. If you made your reservation through Expedia, print out your itinerary and have it with you at checkout, as the rate they tried to charge me was $20 more per day. Also an online booking fee of $8.50 was added. I had seen this charge added to my credit card already, so the manager had to call the booking firm in Florida and have the original charge refunded. This has happened to me before with Expedia bookings, Expedia rates sometimes don't make it to the hotel reservation system so you have to show proof. The location was great, a short walk to the beach and Pier Village shopping area. Cake, Bake, and Roll next door is a fine place for breakfast, and Turning Point on Ocean Ave is good for breakfast and lunch.

“Great hotel for adults and couples.”

Lovely suite with 2 king beds. Beds very comfortable; rooms big by hotel standards. Staff is friendly and accommodating, but not much is explained unless you ask. For example, there's a $25 beach pass per person PER DAY. This entitles you to a small stretch of fence-enclosed beach sand close to the boardwalk located a block away. Loungers, towels and beach umbrella are provided. (Bring your own sun block.) The "pool" is located on the roof of a restaurant a walk from the hotel and is about 3 1/2 feet deep and big enough for kids to frolic in. Forget about laps. The room was lovely, tastefully appointed with a modern vibe and very comfortable for 4 adults. 2 bathrooms were a plus though NO hooks or towel bars in either. The layout allowed for privacy while still maintaining an open floor plan. No microwave in the room, though, despite plenty of cupboard space and a refrigerator in the galley kitchen. Don't expect any views worth seeing despite the floor to ceiling windows that allowed for great light on the 3rd floor. Despite having left a generous tip the night before, housekeeper did not provide fresh towels in the 2nd bathroom. Hotel kitchen was not well staffed on a weeknight evening so expect to dine at other locations. Overall, we had a great stay at The Bungalow Hotel in spite of the small inconveniences. Outdoor fireplace in the sitting area adds a nice touch for colder nights. A low-key, high-end hotel. Loved it.
