Nice family style hotel near shops and restaurants

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Close to shops and restaurants, affordable, and comfortable
Location: We didn't do much nearby. Drove to Drumheller to the Royal Tyrell Museum which was awesome!
We were in town to visit with friends. We only took advantage of the free breakfast one morning, but enjoyed assorted cereals, breads, juices, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruits and coffee (or tea). The room was clean and fairly large. We felt it was a great bargain!

Great family hotel

Posted Jun 24, 2014
My family and I stayed here for our summer vacation. My children loved the waterslide/pool. We pick this hotel for it central location between Edmonton and Calgary. Every morning the complimentary breakfast was very good, something for everyone in the family. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we were in NEED of more coffee! We would recommend staying at this hotel.

Fantastic stay, great facilities

Posted Jun 16, 2014
The staff were friendly and approachable and were on the desk at all times. The only downside was that i was told that the breakfast staff could give me a bagel/ muffin or similar as i was leaving early, however the next morning it turned out this was not possible. But the staff were apologetic and polite offering fruit and yogurt instead from the kitchen. Lovely room with comfy beds and nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Central Location

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location, Staff, Clean Room, Free breakfast and all day coffee/tea.
Cons: Mini Fridge warm, pool and hot tub dirty and towels, wi-fi connection poor
Location: Convenient location, easy to access from Hwy 2. Nearby: Winners, Old Navy, Montanas, A&W, Walmart, Tim Hortons, Enmax Centrium, and much more.
Room was clean and the hotel was located in perfect area for my needs. A lot of amenities even within walking distance. The free breakfast was a nice. And the free coffee/tea, ice tea and cookies in the lobby at all times was nice too. A few negatives were the mini fridge in my room kept failing, the hotel was good about fixing it but the next day upon returning to my room I found it was not cold enough again. Which resulted in me throwing away some perishable food I had in there because I was concerned about the potential for food poisoning. The wi-fi was absolutely useless... in the 3 nights I was there the MIGHT have been a couple times I was able to use it for a few minutes before it stopped working. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was ok. Only one elevator was a little inconvenient at busy times of the day but the hotel was booked right up so that is to be expected. Lastly both the pool and the hotel had brown scum along the edges at waterline, pretty gross actually. Also the towels in the pool are TINY and very thin / worn, adequate for a toddler maybe but an average adult could easily use 4 of them to dry off. Overall I would personally stay there again. Most of the staff were very polite and friendly to deal with.

Affordable, but that's it.

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: Relatively cheap.
Cons: Greeting. Make me feel like I'm a valued customer.
Location: Red Deer near the QE2, shopping and eateries.
Somewhat friendly reception at the front desk. Got to room and headed out for dinner and to watch the hockey game at the bar. Came back to watch the remainder of the game and the TV didn't work. Called front desk. She came up and tried everything I already did. Moved to new room with a working TV. Stay on the town side of the hotel unless you want to be awake all night because of the truck traffic on the QE2.

Maybe this hotel will satisfy theneedsofsmokeronly

non smoking room was booked and confirmed. I also called the hotel directly on the day of the confirmed reservations to identify an 8 PM arrival and re - confirm that our non smoking room would be available. I was assured that our requested room would be ready. Upon arrival we were informed that there were only smoking rooms left. We looked at one anyway only to find that it stank very much as did the hallways and elevator. We did not accept these terrible conditions.
