Pros: Convenient location.
No isolation, could here all the conversations of the people next door. The sink was almost plugged. One lady was supervising the breakfast like if I was in a boading school cantine.

Nice hotel too close to a Main Street

Check in was efficient and rooms were spacious Clean and well equipped for an evening in. The breakfast was better than most in that the attendant working was very helpful. Closer to early morning traffic could be heard outside the window.

Not overly friendly staff.

Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Donna
I arrived about 6:00 pm and asked if it was possible to upgrade my room to a Jacuzzi Room. The first person that looked after me apparently was just training and asked her trainer (Donna) if this was possible. She was thinking about what to do when I told her that I booked it through Expedia. Her attitude automatically changed to rude when she found that out and said "No". I asked if we could then cancel the one room and book the upgrade. Again "No" And "Definitely not now Expedia is closed" as she looked over her shoulder at the clock. Then asked my name and told me to give her my credit card. Walked over to the other people waiting to check out. I told her I did not have room on my credit card. And could she make an exception. I wasn't 16 years old and would not be trashing the room. She insisted that I put $200 on my credit card. Again..no room. This all done in front of everyone while she is looking after them. I didn't have $200 but I told her that I could give her $100.00 cash. She insisted on asking again to put $100 on my card and $100 cash. Here is where the frustration began. She was rude and insisted that it was a policy and no exceptions. I had a friend meeting me and had to ask him if he could put it on his credit card. I asked Donna if I couldn't come up with the $200 would she have turned me away with no place to stay. She stated the policy again and said "Everyone has some way of coming up with it". Will not be staying here again.NO EXCEPTION

Average Hotel for Average Price

Average place. Stay in Red Deer quite often for work trips and this is generally my go to hotel. Not the nicest, but definitely not the worst. Would recommend staying here based on the price point. Continental breakfast could certainly use some improvement, but I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel.

OK but not exceptional for the price.

Public areas of the hotel in general and our room were clean. King bed was very comfortable. Request for an extra pillow and blanket was quickly responded to. (Blanket was not needed after all). Towel supply was very basic. Free 'hot' breakfast was really a cold continental breakfast with reheated pancakes and reheated scrambled eggs - not very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient.

Christmas Service leaves a lack of good cheer.

We visited on December 23, and checked in at 7 pm,to ensure we were not too late circa good room. Hah! When we got back to our room in a 3/4 empty hotel, we found we had been placed in the room squeezed between the elevator and the housecleaning room. I presume this was to avoid having to clean more than one floor, but it was not a good choice of rooms. Then, the shower was broken. Breakfast was inedible crusty scrambled eggs obviously made much earlier. When I told my spiel at checkout, I was given a "discount" for next time, which turns out to be just the standard corporate rate! Thanks! I do expect more from Super 8 normally, and will not judge this hotel purely on one poor experience, but...

Pros: Location.
Cons: The extra bed we got barely fit in the room.
Location: Close to lots of stuff
Staff were friendly enough, it was close to downtown where we needed to be.

Great hotel staff. Old hotel in need of upgrades. Otherwise ok to stay in if nothing else available
