Beware
Unfortunately state of the hotel and room is poor and unattended. Main complaint is the unclean( hair &bugs) room. Will not make that mistake again.

This place is an abandoned four seasons hotel, that was reopened, without doing any renovations, it’s in really rough shape and I have low standards, The beds were clean, towels smelled of fresh bleach so I knew I wouldn’t get an STD from them, I’ve defiantly stayed in way worse places in third world hostels, for the price it has a clean bed a tiny TV a cuck chair, and a fridge, that’s what you pay for, Sure the cable covering is falling off the walls, The paint peeling off a bit, But it’s tidy it’s fine, just don’t have great expectations

Property was dated. The checkin girl was helpful and friendly. First room we booked , checkin told us it was a smoking room. Huh, I didn’t think they were even still available. So she moved us from a King to 2 double beds and said she’d honour the price?? The room was supposed to have AC. It didn’t even turn on. Went down to front desk bcz phone in room didn’t work. Moved to room on 2nd floor. She said it had AC, it did not. We were hot all night! Not a great sleep. It was a bed and that’s what we needed. We were in town for a Convention so checkin late and check out early. From the outside it looked sketchy. Don’t think we would stay there again.

Do your research before you book!
It shouldn’t be called a hotel, the place looks sketchy as you approach and looks like it’s serving as low income shelter. The pictures on the internet are misleading. The rooms are very dated and the beddings have burn holes in them as well.

Advertised as Travel Lodge - Not. Parking lot uncleared of snow. No Free Breakfast. Was told it was due to Covid. No juice. Only packet coffee in room. Lobby was cold and unattractive. Driving up, I thought the place was closed. Hair on bathroom floor. Bed was comfortable and staff were trying to be pleasant. Limited tv programming.

Rooms are freezing. Inadequate heating for Canadian winter weather. Hester consists of a electric baceboard heater directly under the window. I had to tuck the curtains into the window sills to get any level of warmth. The temperature outside was -12 C

When I made the reservation through Expedia, the information was that cancellation was no charge if done more than 24 hours prior to arrival . When due to flight changes I was required to make changes to my dates, I was told that I could cancel and rebook, but no refunds would be offered and I would be charged again. This was several weeks prior to arrival, then upon arrival in Red Deer my friend almost had a heart attack when I gave the name of the Hotel- apparently it’s a known drug haven ! THANKS! They refused to let me stat there. I will NEVER use Travelodge or Expedia again! What a money grab and thanks for keeping travelers out of harms way by ensuring that the venues you offer are at least clean and safe! Shame on you! Shame on you!

Terrible. We got in to the room and no joke, it was COLDER than outside. We got there late and were told to turn the thermostat on when we got in and had to wait 30 minutes to go to sleep because it was waaaay too cold. Shower was weak and bed sheets were not the cleanest either.

I had booked a nonsmoking room but was placed in a very smelly stall smoke room.When asked if I could be moved was told that sometimes this happens and I was unable to be moved.Also $200 hold on my credit card which is the highest I have ever had to leave for one of the poorest hotels I have ever stayed in.
